Closed Accounts On Credit File

Hello,

Good morning all.

I have a few questions about my credit file with closed accounts. I got into quite a bit of debt about 5/6 years ago, since 2013 I have been with payplan paying off my debt slowly.

I recently got a letter from Ladderloans saying my debt had now been written off so it got me curious so I looked at my credit file online. When I go to accounts I can see most of the accounts I owe money for are sitting under the "closed" section and have not been updated 3months+. Are these accounts actually closed and not activtly being chased any more?

I understand once they are closed they can stay on the report for upto 6 years.

thanks

Chris
