  • Have made a £200 overpayment to the loan but that will be it now as ive made the decision to give up work due to my mental health. im applying for universal credit and pip although doubt I will get it.
32 payments left on the loan so will just keep chipping away
  • Ive just read all your diary, I hope you are well? was just wondering how you are getting on? after getting your consolidation loan, have you cut up your credit card?

  • Im disgusted with myself. since September ive run up £2000 on my credit card and I have nothing absolutely nithing to show for it. well im back im still signed off work and have been for 6 months now so ive been using the credit card for Tesco shopping and fuel. it stops now I need to get in control I feel sick with what a mess ive got myself in.
  • Ok ive taken the credit card out of my purse and hidden it. I can do this 2020 I will work towards getting debt free.
  • would it help to cut the credit card up and then that way there is no temptation?

2020, new year, new start! You can do it.

  • took all the change ive collected to the bank today Had £78 so paid £50 of the credit card taking it to £1800 and £28 towards xmas
  • so this month I have paid £248 off the credit card saved £78.60 on my asda savings card and saved £81 with park and £200 off my loan.

Ive been signed off work until march 3rd but my plan is definitely to go back then even if just whilst I look for something else. im now claiming universal credit and they have agreed im not fit for work so I get an extra payment. as I understand it in march I can work 12 hours a week and still receive this money which means ill still be able
    to work on getting better.

my plan for the rest off this month is not to use the credit card (I've hidden it not quite brave enough to cut it up yet) theres 18 days until payday and I have £100 left in my account. I will need a tank of fuel and I am addicted to fizzy pop so that's another £20. so I should have £50 left to put towards the credit card

  • Its a no spend day today spent all day in bed sleeping on and off. just got no motivation at the minuite. I have been doing a lot of thinking though.

BY December i'd like to have my loan down to £4000. theres no way ill clear it but cutting it in half would help. minimum payment is £291 but I pay £300 and if I could afford to overpay £50 a month I think I could do it.

I'd like to clear the credit card and keep it clear. Although at the moment im not sure that will happen but I guess if I could get it down to £500 id be happy.

I'd like to get my park savungs paid for by September. I know aloth of people say saving with park is silly and a waste of time and just to save in another account but ive tried and I cant do it I just fritter it away. It was nice this year to be able to treat my niece to things and buy myself some bits knowing it was paid for.

I'd like £600 saved with asda. We don't have an asda locally but at Christmas we drive to the big superstore an hour away and do a massive shop. they have an xmas saver card where if you save £285 they give you you £15. so id like to save 2 cards. I will use them to change into xmas presents for my brother and his partner and my sister and her husband as well as do all the xmas shop and send a voucher to my ex sister in law so she can get things for my niece. I've saved £78.60 this month and would like to save £50 a month so I can do this.

Im not planning on going on holiday this year so that will save some money. my big spend is on pepsi max . It's £1.70 a bottla and I can get through at least a bottle a day. i'm going to try drinking Lemonade as its only 50p a bottle even if I only manage every other day.

This has turned into a long post which I doubt anyone will read but I like to have a plan and this is it. also hoping to go back to work in march even if I only manage 2 days a week but I don't want to talk to work about that yet as it will reduce the amount of sick pay I get.
  • It's been a quiet weekend. went out for the day yesterday and spent £1 I didn't need to spend it but the damage could have been a lot worse. the credit card is still in hiding.

Spent the day in my pjs today doing my crafting so a no spend day.
Plan for tomorrow is to walk my sisters dogs but avoid all shops so hopefully another no spend day.

realistically I don't need anything until Thursday so hopefully my purse will stay shut.

Have a meeting at work Thursday about my sick leave and what I plan to do not sure what time that will be yet but hopsfully it will be early so I don't spend all day worrying about it
