  • first payment to loan went out this am so new total 9598.64 but interest hasn't been added so guessing that will go on tonight as ive checked 4 times today and its not showing yet.
Im off sick from work with my anxiety and haven't left the house since Monday so a few no spend days and on Monday I bought chocolate that I didn't really need. hopefully once the interest is added to the loan I will be ablt to pay a bit more off to at least make it a round number
  • Interest was added to my loan at midnight so interest for the month was £21.84. I made another payment of £20.48 so new loan total is £9,600. it feels like a huge amount but hopefully I will be able to pay a bit more of later.
Every £10 overpayment saves £1 in intrest. I wont make any huge overpayments this month but may manage a few more £10's.
I haven't left the house since Monday so today im going out. ive got a prescription to collect and need to pick up a few bits. might go to my sisters house and walk her dog.

I really need to try and get back to work
  • Had some change that i'd collected so just been to the bank and paid it in and taken another £15.00 off the loan. still along way to go but slow and steady and this time I will get it paid off
  • Another week. £40 spending money withdrawn and money left from last week put in my penny jar. no payments of the loan as it has to be a minimum of £10 but hopefully another 1 at the end of the week
  • Cant sleep. yesterday (Monday)was a no spend day so my weekly money is still intact no plans to go anywhere today either.
I'm going back to work Wednesday and im a nervous wreck but hopefully will get settled back in then be able to pick up some extra hours. I really want this debt gone this time.
I went out at the weekend with no money but my credit card and resisted so balance on that still at £0
  • After being signed off work sick with my mental health I went back this morning. am just doing reduced days/ hours for the next 2 weeks which isn't great as I only work 30hours a week as it is due to my health but I did the shift and all was ok.
    spent some money today:-
    £1 on a bottle of pepsi max from b n m
£1.50 on 32 paracetamal and 32 ibuprofen without these I cant function
also bought some cleaning stuff for my mum for £2.99 but she paid me back £3 so made a penny.

have put all my change into my glass jar ready to be paid off the loan when I collect £10's worth. every little helps and im more motivated seeing it drop a bit every week.

Will be a spendy day tomorrow will need petrol but budget £40 a week for that (im a community carer and do lots of miles a month but I can claim my mileage back its just slow getting the money)
  • Ended up being a spendy day Wednesday.
£14 on petrol which is budgeted for in my petrol account and
£6 in good old mr Tesco on my addiction of fizzy pop and some fresh bread for dinner.

No spend day yesterday as spent day in pjs and sleeping on and off. not really good as for my mh need to try and get up and about a bit more but that usually results in spending money.

I think I have £25 in my change jar so will go to the bank in a bit and pay it in and off the loan every little helps. then have 2 bags of stuff to take to the charity shop
  • Been to the bank paid the £25 in and taken of the loan so new total 9560.
did a snowball calculator earlier and it said if I pay £500 a month it could be clear by april 2021 id like it gone by dec 2020 so that's the challenge
  • Had a few letters through the post this am. since I took out my consolidation loan ive made £150 in over payments and according to the letter saved £12 in interest.
That's probably it for overpayments now until the 27th which is payday
  • Minimum payment has come out today and made an £80 overpayment so balance down to 9190 and payments reduced to 33 months
