Is definitely cooler here and I slept better last night. Rain predicted for tomorrow.
Work has been a nightmare, we are so understaffed at the moment. But, we do have a party on Wednesday night so I'm looking forward to that.
Good luck on the NSDs front1 -
@FootyFanDan We've got one on long term sick, one just gone on bereavement leave, one leaving who's basically checked out from doing anything, another left not replaced yet and another on maternity leave not replaced. We're an international team so not all UK based but it seems its difficult across the whole of Europe. I'm in b2b collections so already got one eye on Q4 and year end figures trying to put the work in to get it down but struggling to service all my customers.
I'm generally an optimistic person so they know it's bad when I'm moaning!
Are you still using YNAB Dan?
In other news, both my Monzo and the joint account had no spends today so I'm counting this as my first NSD of the month!
Virgin cc is playing silly buggers with my figures. I had £2612.98 as coming off 0% interest. I BT'd it to another card for 0% but its showing as a positive figure in my Virgin app. I remember this happened a couple of years ago. I wanted to sort out the payments but will wait for it to be corrected.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2 -
Also liking the "leaky spends" definition - although of late mine haven't been so much leaking as gushing...!
I was surprised how warm upstairs felt last night still allowing for the lower temperatures generally - although in the event it was enough cooler for me to get a decent night of sleep, thankfully.
Hope work calms down a bit for you before too long - and hurrah for a party!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'm really looking forward to the party and have put a few people under strict instructions to keep me on the straight and narrow. Last time I got home at 2am the worse for wear after too much prosecco and hitting the shots. I was no good to man nor beast the next day. 🙄
Today was not a successful NSD. The coffee machine at work wasn't working so I went to Costa. I also popped to Boots at lunchtime and got some heel cushions for my party shoes.
Got a win at work with a big client paying a LOT of 💰 just in time for my bosses call with the big guns in the USA tonight.
Stay frugal.

YNAB.....I would like to say yes haha but the last 6 weeks or so I haven't really kept track, we have recently moved into what I expect to be our last home move so can finally settle. Unfortunately this has resulted in the budget totally going out of the window. I am not sure whether it is right to keep going with it as sometimes I just forget to keep track.
Enjoy the party

@FootyFanDan, give yourself some time if you’ve only recently moved. You will still be adapting to the space, how to live there, what works, what doesn’t, what’s different, what’s the same etc etc. It’s significant how much headspace this takes up. YNAB will still be there when you’re ready 😊 Just focus on wise spending and as many NSDs as you can and it will come good.

@FootyFanDan I suspect that you might be like me. Although you think the budget etc has gone out the window, there will be some things that we just do in the background now without even thinking about it. I was quite surprised when I came back here, how many little things I still do sub consciously. I'm sure you will be back on track in no time. I hope you and your family will be very happy in your new home.
Party was good last night. I was home at 12.30 but I had a terrible night's sleep and think this mornings headache is partly alcohol induced and partly lack of sleep 😴 Spent a fortune getting home so hoping I can expense it! I do have a 6pm call tonight which I think I'm going to cancel! 🤣Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again3 -
This morning I was definitely fragile and ended up having a nap on the sofa. Needed some paracetamol and ate some toast.
I've put the expense claim form in for my cab fare home. Fingers crossed it gets paid out. I also remembered to claim for a toner cartridge for home printer that MrM and I use which was £33.
Tonight I'm making a Spanish omelette for dinner. If there's any left over I'll take it into work tomorrow for lunch.
Tomorrow night I'm out at my friends for dinner so I'll buy a dessert to take.
I've just tilly tidied my accounts. I have £55 left for personal spending this month. There's currently just over £2k in the pots but these are all for future spends. I'm still in love with Monzo.
The joint account has £601 with hopefully £85 to come in from expenses. I'm not expecting much in spends apart from food shops but do need to check if any further dd's are due to come out. Payday in 10 days so feeling like it's a positive month!Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1
