She's got a soft harness at the moment whilst she's still growing and getting used to it. It sounds like the seatbelt harnesses is the same thing as you have @WinterWarrior.

We took her to the park at lunchtime for a good run. A dog she excitedly greeted told her off and she submitted but she is a delinquent meeting people when out. Wants to jump all over them. She's also started doing excitement wee's when people come to the door. I'm going to have a very clean floor with all the disinfecting after cleaning up! 🤣

Puppy classes booked! 1st lesson is on zoom about the class and then 5 in person classes. They are being held in an indoor riding school so at least if the weather is rubbish we'll be dry! It's called Puppy Life Skills part 1 and is costing £150 for the course so I need to find that money from somewhere.

  • @Naomim Oof, that seems expensive! In this wet neck of the woods they are usually held in  church or municipal halls. The last ones I attended, you paid per session and could bow out if you or your dog didn't like the trainer. One class I went to was overrun with  Rottweilers,  and my dog had carniptions at being surrounded by huge menacing lumps - seen from a Cairn terrier's point of view.  Is there really no class available where you can try before you buy? Most vet surgeries or libraries(pre-covid) had notices  advertising classes.

I actually thought it was good value! Works out at £25 a lesson and if pup learns and enjoys can only be a good thing. I'm not sure how many there are on the course though.  It could be 5 😂

I think at £25 a session, you  could probably have one-to-one training. Mind you, I  currently have one of the dimmest dogs on the planet - she learned nothing in puppy training classes. Yours is probably a lot brighter. :)

@Scottiedog_3 They have different classes. Some are in a hall but as I described dog as a delinquent on a lead, she said we might need the field or indoor riding school so as to have more space to be able to remove her away a bit to calm down if she's too excited.  I used to take the old dog to classes in a local hall but they were only for Cavaliers. He didn't like the puppies there 🤣.
