To The Manor Bowen – October

    Tags: Living, Reality TV
LIVING has commissioned Jamie Oliver’s production company Fresh One Productions, (Jamie’s Chef /Channel 4, Road Kill Chef /BBC3), to make To The Manor Bowen, an eight-part observational documentary, capturing the highs, lows and tantrums, as the gloriously eccentric Bowen family settle into village life and discover the differences between city life in the fast lane, and a gentler pace of life in the country. The show will air on Living this October
In an honest appraisal of their London life, Laurence and his wife Jackie have taken stock, decided to risk all and trade in their comfortable family town house to relocate to a run-down, unloved 17th century Gloucestershire manor house.
Cameras will follow the real life dilemmas as the inimitable Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Jackie and two daughters tackle moving house; redesigning, decorating and furnishing a new property; settling in at new schools; meeting the neighbours and becoming part of a local, close-knit community

Well I've caught up with the comps again now & thought I'd come in for a virtual drink as I can't have the real stuff atm :( (Pain killers & alcohol don't mix well!)

You may recall that I posted I fractured my elbow when we were on holiday but wasn't too bad, bf was helping me dress & driving me to/from work & I was working from home on a project last week anyways (very rare!) Well went into work yesterday & they told me I was a health risk as my arm is in a sling thing (hospital called it a collar 'n' cuff) so I had to get a letter from the doc saying I was fully capable of doing my job (which I wouldn't be as I can't write on flipchart/whiteboard or use the computer) or get signed off.

Doc took one look at me, my swollen puffy tendons & the fracture clinic card & signed me off for 3 weeks :( Saying that also I'd probably need another 3 weeks on top of that!

Now I don't do well with having time off - I feel useless & feel I've let my boss & colleagues down, my boss & colleagues are all saying that I should just relax & get better & make the most of the time off & my boss is glad he forced me to visit the docs, but still doesn't make me feel any less bad about it all!

So please, whoever is behind the bar - set up a bottle of vodka, hand over the diet coke tap & leave a bucket of ice & a plate of sliced orange within reach - I'll be hitting the virtually bottle hard.
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
