No-one here will say pay up when you are at this stage.

Read up in the newbies faq thread at the top of the forum for advice on how to prepare a POPLA appeal.

Then when you have constructed it put it up here (anonymously) for comment

Even if you were to lose at PoPLA, you do not have to pay a penny unless a judge tells you to.

This is becoming unlikely as more and more judges are finding against flipped ticket cases brought by PPCs.a

It is well worth appealing this at PoPLA. There are several template appeal points in the NEWBIES thread you can use, and also in the most recent successful posts in the POPLA Decisions sticky thread.

When you constructed you appeal, be sure to refer to this where a judge blamed the parking companies for not using self adhesive tickets.

it is a genuine and stupid mistake on my behalf.
No it's not, stop blaming yourself for the PPC scam. People get caught like this all the time, how do you know how the ticket flipped over? This is the very low level of the nasty ex-clamper firm you are thinking you have to pay:

I am just not good at this legal stuff.
Has anyone ever said you need to stop putting yourself down...seriously the PCN was not your 'stupid fault' and there is no need to give up! Come on, you can do this! I've written the POPLA appeal points for you and they are not rocket science. I am not a lawyer and didn't go to Uni, it is just a matter of getting your head around it, not just giving up.
I have had a look all week in the newbie section and still finding it hard
Riiiight, so take a look at Bartos1976's thread here he took one look at post #3 of the NEWBIES thread and grabbed the POPLA templates. Same as you can, don't read post #1 or #2. You want post #3 of the sticky thread, the one with the POPLA appeal links to template wording.

Hope you aren't trying to read the forum on a phone, if so, stop!

PPCs have been known to rock cars until tickets, (often non sticky backed), have fallen into the footwell. In fact, I believe that a TV programme highlighted it.

UKPC are easy to beat at PoPLA. Their signs are rubbish and generic, not from the actual car park in question.

Pick the template appeal points from the NEWBIES thread, copy and paste them into a word document or even a PM to yourself, then edit and change things around at your leisure.
Also look at the most successful appeals in the POPLA Decisions sticky thread and pick the bits that are relevant to your case.
Post your draft here for the regulars to look at before you submit it.

Please do not pay the scammers as you will be funding them to target the next vulnerable motorist.
UKPC were caught doctoring time stamps on their "photo'" evidence in 2015. Is this the sort of company you want to encourage?

There isn't a "template" as such, but read through the newbies faq for a "near" template to start with, and advice on how to tailor to your circs

Hi which template do i use please?

Post 3 of the NEWBIES. Pick the appeal points that are relevant to your case. Signage will be one of the main ones, but use all that apply.

Then pick any other relevant points that you can find in the most recent successful appeals from the POPLA Decisions thread.

Post your draft here for checking before you submit it.

I have no idea where you got those appeal points from, but they are out of date. The BPA CoP you have quoted is out of date and does not quote the words you have posted either.

You want Post 3 of the NEWBIES thread as already explained, plus the most recent successful appeals from the POPLA Decisions sticky thread. It's at the top of the main parking tickets forum page and the NEWBIES is underneath it. Your appeal points should include at the very least, inadequate signage, not the landowner, no standing to issue charges.

Was your initial appeal as driver or as keeper. If the latter then you can also add non POFA complaint NTK (but ONLY if they don't know the driver's details.)

Post 6 of this thread by Coupon-mad tells you how to find the NEWBIES thread in her signature at the bottom.

  • Help. been trawling through loads of site trying to get some info.

Just received a notice to keeper dated 21/12/16, PCN was issued 15/10/16.total of 67 days after. Have read all about transferring liability etc. Do I rely on the 56 day rule. Do I appeal or do I wait and see if they try and transfer driver liability to keeper? Any help would be great
