I transferred to Plusnet mobile last Thursday and number ported successfully on Friday but so far have been unable to get a data connection. If you look at the plus net forums there are numerous posts from people in a similar position.
An email from Plusnet finally admitted "we are aware of a problem some of our customers are having at the moment with not being able to access data"
If you are thinking of transferring to Plusnet I would suggest you wait until the problem has been resolved.
  • I guess I've been lucky, mine's all gone smoothly....phew!
What goes around comes around.....I hope!
  • PlusNet are offering geat deals but pray nothing goes wrong and you need to speak to someone. They clearly have failed to employ more staff for the extra customers. Wait times to 'speak to an adviser' are over 30 minutes!
There is not even the courtesy of being told where you are in the queue.
This company is in danger of rapidly undoing all it's good work.
  • My wife just transferred there from Three. Porting was delayed which meant she had no live number for 24hrs...

It's not great but £8 for a 3.5GB 30-day contract isn't bad and since then everything is absolutely fine with it.
I do like the idea of these 30-day contracts on the low cost providers.

I'm disconnecting from Plusnet after less than a month. There is an ongoing fault in the area (since June) despite the checker saying there's a strong reception. They're very apologetic and provide regular updates (yes, I know I still have no signal) but they're not interested in fixing the fault. They're refunding me all charges and have told me they will be offering additional compensation. A very odd way to do business!

Plusnet run on EE and have absolutely no access to the towers, make sure you don't transfer to any one on the same network.
