Best time to buy a sofa

We are looking to buy a new sofa and of course want to get the bst deal possible. Been browsing the large furniture chains and I wondered if there was a best time in the month to negotiate a discount. Many thanks

Want the cheapest price? Now - everyone has a sale on.

Want to haggle? Try it in the summer, because the way it works (loosely) in the industry is that prices are a bit higher in those months. This is so they can drop in winter in the sales. This is when most people buy furniture. (But you probably won't be able to haggle lower than the sale price anyway)

Before I got into the industry I never would have guessed how seasonal it is.

Long story short - buy when you want to, but you'll find it easier now because of the sales. Don't expect to be able to haggle a sale price though.
