It's so hard when you are just constantly dealing with the tantrums. It is exhausting and seems never ending and then all of a sudden it just stops.
That night off for you would be a bit of a rest bite for you as well. Hopefully the bed gets built.
I know the first week of school DD is exhausted and is so full of an attitude it is unreal. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I think you meant ` respite` Niknak but rest bite sounds wonderful!2

Thanks Nicnak, yes the constant screaming is very wearing. 😔 DS was actually a lot calmer after nursery today, although obviously still tired. Hopefully he is starting to calm down and understand that this is his new routine.
I'm still waiting to get antibiotics for my sore toe, spoke to the nurse on Friday afternoon and she said she would send the prescription to the chemist (which is next door!). DH went to get it on Saturday and there was nothing there, they said it could take up to a week! My toe will probably have fallen off by then! 😖 It's so painful, I have been bathing it and bandaging it up to stop it being bashed about but it's all infected and aching.
Have been working the last two days, only tomorrow to go then I'm off for a week. Early shifts are tiring but easier in a way as I just have to get myself up and organised rather than getting myself, the kids and all their stuff organised as well.
I didn't get to my mum's on Saturday as she had been working night shifts and was exhausted. Hoping to see her on Thursday and she can come with me to collect DS from nursery. He will love that and it gives her a chance to see the routine in case she needs to collect him at some point.
I've agreed with DH, my mum, sister, brother and his gf that we will do a secret santa for the adults at christmas this year. We've set a budget of £30 and each of us will buy for one person, there's a website that you set up your group on then draw the names, it also has wish lists you can add things to to help your secret santa buy something you'll like. 😊 It means we're just buying for the kids and will save some money, time and stress. 😀 Just waiting on my brother to join, last as usual. 🙄
We're back on a local lockdown here now, not allowed to go to other people's houses but still allowed to go out to pubs and restaurants! It's crazy, I'll still be seeing my mum anyway, the only places either of us are planning on going are work or the shops. We're all more likely to catch covid at work as DH & I work in transport and my mum is a nurse!
Better get to bed shortly, feeling very tired and up at 5am again tomorrow.

That's a long time to sort a prescription, especially if it is infected or getting infected.
I am on local lock down too. It doesn't make sense at all that I can go to the pub, but not have family support for childcare.
First week back of school and they are just so tired. DD is going to struggle by the end of this week.xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Thanks Beanie, I actually have some calendula & zinc cream, so have put some on my toe.
Nicnak, I managed to collect my prescription today so will start the antibiotics tomorrow. DS is still tired after nursery and exhausted by the end of the week but he is slowly getting used to it. He is absolutely loving nursery now and runs in without a second thought. He did get into a bit of trouble today for loving some of the other kids so much that he was cuddling them into a headlock. 😱 😂 He is very serious about cuddles!! He is the most affectionate wee soul and doesn't understand that not every kid he meets will want to cuddle him. 😂
I managed to hoover the whole house today, strip and remake my bed and do a couple of washings. Also managed 20 mins of yoga and a shower after getting the kids to bed, really meant to get to bed a bit earlier though.
On my way home from work on Tuesday I stopped off at the r@nge to see if they had their christmas stuff out yet. They only had about half of it out so I couldn't look at the Christmas lights we need for the outside of the house and will need to go back in a week or two. I did buy two wee tree decorations, one each for DD & DS, they are wee mice wearing coats, scarves and hats and I just thought they were super cute.
My plan is to buy the kids a decoration each every year so they have a small stash by the time they have grown up. When they get a bit older they can pick their own every year. 😊 I'll need to start thinking of small christmas traditions we can do with them every year, I think it makes Christmas more enjoyable for everyone.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I have seen some of the pictures of the Christmas things and they look absolutely amazing in some shops. I used to like shopping for Christmas things but not feeling it this year. Think it is a combination of things really. x

The mice sound really cute. The secret santa is a brilliant idea for the adults and so is the idea of buying a decoration every year for the kiddies. When mine were little, as well as their normal presents, I used to make them a goodie bag each with 10 items all costing less than £2 each, just daft things like Christmas socks, a comic, chocolate, etc. I used to pick up bits throughout the year in sales. I carried this on until they were in their 20s. My GKs had a Christmas Eve box each last year which I thought was a nice idea as long as people don't go over the top and taking the shine off the actual day. I think people will try and make Christmas as nice as they can in the circumstances but suspect it's really not going to be the same this year. Sometimes I sit and really think about what's happened this year and I still can't believe it, it's so surreal.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
