Yay, you got the hang of the photo posting malarkey :j I love the Celtic Noel, the dyed fabric is perfect with the silhouette Thumbelina and is that George Michael you're working on? Nice progress.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Good morning stitchers. Hope everyone had a happy healthy and relatively stress free Christmas
It was hectic but enjoyable here. Having moved to be nearer to more of the family we get a lot more visitors which is lovely but of course means very little time for anything like catching up on posts here
I’m sorry Mrs mp but the card hasn’t arrived yet. Our postman doesn’t deliver until early afternoon so have my fingers crossed for a lovely surprise then. I am missing some other cards which I expected to receive, not just yours. Thankfully everything I ordered online arrived in time
The card stitched by nmm is gorgeous. I’m sure I recognise the design as one I admired in a magazine And the bauble wreath looks great
Love your 3 pieces Mrs mp. The Celtic ladies are such classic designs. I never tire of mine I admire the Thumbelina design. I wish they did just the patterns as I have quite a stash of hand dyed fabric I’d love to use for them. Great likeness of George Michael and I’m sure your friend will be thrilled
I was lucky enough to receive a few lovely crafty things for Christmas. My DS bought me the l8mited edition gold tin of the new DMC Threads I was given a gift voucher in advance and used it to buy the 2 latest Shepherd's Bush stocking patterns and charm packs with enough left over for a small Bee themed scissor fob kit from Sheoherd's Bush as welll. Some of you might recalll that I am addicted to the SB stockings and it was a sign of how out of touch with stitch8ng I was that I didn’t buy the 2016 release Now my collection is complete again (until this December of course h:rotfl:) And yes I’ve stitched most of them and some of them more than once. Still haven’t managed to make one for me yet
Then one of my stitching buddies made me an exquisite fabric bag just the right size for a small project to take along to one of our group meetings Another stitching buddy gave me 2 Small Kits - one cross stitch, one Embroidery. Being small they have a chance of being done
And finally another sttich8ng buddy made Fabric stockings for us all, embroidered with festive designs and filled with gorgeous smelly goodies from Molton Brown
I felt thoroughly spoilt
I just love getting put my stitched ornaments and decorations each year, many of which have been stitched by dear friends
Foxy I hope next year will be better for you and that you can take part in the card exchange as I know you enjoy it
Apologies for rambling on
Happy stitch8ng everyone0 -
Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
We were home alone, just the five of us. One small 'crochet your own sausage dog' kit from DSis, but otherwise no crafty bits received at all. Just a bit relieved tbh as I get such little time to craft now I'm working full time and my stash is still huge.
The craft group I set up will start back on 8 Jan. It's only once a month as we get the room for free. There's about 15 of us ranging from 14 to 75 and we all have a good laugh. Lots of different crafts including card making, crochet and knitting.
I have started a crochet kit I bought at Ally Pally, mum started it off for me when she visited on Saturday. It's a lovely blanket in muted colours. This will come with me to the club but I will work on it in between.
In addition to Collecting Shells I have started Satsuma Street's Pretty Little London. I have a number of these city scapes and will eventually have them in th craft room/spare room. One day.......
Off to see Star Wars this afternoon so hope to pick up some crafting when we're back later.
Have a good evening all,

I hope your card arrives soon FOS, I'm so sorry it's taking this long.
I've been mostly stitching hair today it's quite fiddling as lots of scattered stitches.
My work secret santa gift was a lovely cross stitch kit and my mum also bought me a small kit so Ive some new stitching things to work on. After George Michael I need to start on a Christmas stocking another grandchild is due soon so another stocking will be required for next ChristmasSPC~12 ot 124

FOS are you considering reviving the thread in memory of soulie this year. It had a lot of interest in 2016 but petered out last year as it didn't get a new thread as no one wanted to start one without you around as it was your idea originallySPC~12 ot 124

Mrsmp I’m not going to do a 18 Projects in 2018 Thread. It would be unrealistic to suppose I had the time and I wouldn’t want to let anyone down.
Sad to report still no sign of your card0
