Just realised this month 9 of debt busting so a quarterly update
Jan 2017 Cc 1 4570 /Sep 2017 3549 = £1021 paid
Jan 2017 cc2 1550 Sep 2017 £1000= £550 paid
If my maths are right I have paid 27.8% off so going at the same rate possibly another 28 months to go. I do hope to get this down though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Don't think I have slept a wink last night, got woken up at 12.15am by the phone ringing a phone number from Belgium. Never answered. That was it for the night , have a 12 hour day ahead. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Finally caught up with your diary and subscribed (I didn't want to comment before reading it all :rotfl:
I think you do amazing on the budget you have and you're really organised. I think we are quite lucky here with access to quite a few free things for the small ones other than the travel to get there.
I think I'm further away from Manchester than you although DD is heading up to the trafford center at weekend and I'm a nervous wreck about it! I live nearer Bolton so that's my 'town' and Manchester the 'city'
Hope your mums doing well now? I am lucky to live right by our hospital too, I never realised how much I appreciate being so close until I had youngest and we've spent the majority of the last 3 years in there.
I will be following along nowx

Morning Cumbrian Lass
I hav just popped over as you mentioned you don't get many visitors on another thread.
Now I am going to read from the beginning of your diary. It's too blowy to go into the garden so it's a pot of tea and my tablet tucked under a blanket
Have a good day

Another here who's now made the connection that you have a diary and subscribed! :T (Quite jealous of Pauline's description of how she's going to catch up - a brew and a blanket sounds just perfect for today!)
It looks like you have things pretty under control - I think regardless of how good we all get at this not-spending-money lark there are ALWAYS temptations in the way - I freely admit that nice food is mine, I have to remind myself that bread from our local bakery is a treat for once a month NOT for every weekend! It's about learning to deal with the things that trigger us though I think - and of course as you've learned also budgeting for stuff ahead of time and always having that little bit in reserve (EF) "just in case"!
I sympathise about you struggling to get back to sleep after being disturbed early in the night too - I had something similar last night although I have NO idea what actually woke me up - just couldn't get comfy for a while after that - would normally have got up and pottered about a bit but MrEH had a silly-early start this morning so didn't want to risk disturbing him any more.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
