Spent last evening with an old colleague who can talk as much as me , three hours later I drew breath. Her daughter is a celebrity of sorts, that's my claim to fame. It was great hearing about how the other half live.

Today I attended a funeral of someone I have known for many years through my volunteering. The service was a tribute to his life , but even I welled up when they played " If heaven was needing a hero by Joe Dee Messina .

I managed a no spend day today .

Tomorrow is childminding day , I can't believe half term is here already . The weeks are going way to fast.

Think it will be an early night .

It's lovely to spend time with a friend when the time whizzes by like that, it usually means they're a very good friend.

That's very sad about the volunteer's funeral.

    Well done on the NSD.

I have caved in , the heating has gone on this morning. However I am going to be very mindful this winter with it . I am determined to only use it when necessary.

Hoping for a walk this morning to buy a Xmas present , and a few odd bits from HB .

Last school pick up before half term yippee .

I'm also being mindful with the heating. I will be on sabbatical all Winter so I need to be extra mindful

    Have a good day

Lovely autumnal walk through the leaves , DGD insisted on taking her baby with her , my 50 yr old doll. Picked up Xmas present , got bits from from HB 6,000 steps done .

Am having a brew and a rest now whilst DGD is snoozing in the buggy .

Great day for being outside .

Sounds like you’ve had a great day CL. I’m looking forward to replacing the gks baby toy box with a few more grown up toys to free up a bit of space in the spare bedroom.

It’s a shame how most of the markets around these parts have dwindled to nothingness. The one in my home town used to be a great market but it’s rubbish now they’re trying to revive it with food outlets...I’m running my freezer down so I can visit a big market on the tram to restock with some meat and fish from there.

    Have a lovely weekend
