Hi Cumbria - catching up with you at last!

Good news on your op appointment - hopefully it won't be too long before you hear the date.

Can't be of much help on the sleep problem - I'm the proverbial log! But I love my mattress topper! I feel that since I've had it I don't feel like such a crock when I get out of bed in the morning. I hope yours helps.

Can't believe it's Fridsy again, the week ran away with me. Today is back to normal looking after DGD and DGS after school. B Gas are supposed to be servicing the boiler between 8 and 1 , I will believe it if it happens. They have cancelled two previous appointments. Hope they don't waste my time as I have to stay in with DGD .

Pleased to report 4NSD this week , and I will have £50 left out of entertainment and grocery pots so passing that to Mum to save for Oz spending money.
As we head towards July my mind is turning to events such as Christmas and Australia, I will have enough for Christmas by October payday , so will have a little extra money in November and December . I am also not saving in EF from sept onwards until after Christmas and adding that to spending money , I want to go with plenty of funds. Anything I come back with will go towards debt and savings.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Good morning Cumbria,

That is a pain when B Gas cancel like that. They should really pay out something for inconvenience shouldn't they? Sounds like you are doing really well with saving for Australia, I guess a trip like that is a great motivator!

    Have a good day!
Aiming to early retire December 31st 2026.

Hooray for the serviced boiler and you are now free!:D

Your savings strategy is very sensible. Nothing worse than worrying about if you have enough funds on holiday!

    Have a good day!
