The on-paper distance to the next branch is about 10 miles I think, but that includes a ferry journey! (And RBS are reducing the opening hours there to a ludicrous level, too!)

    I don't think banks think about people who are rural or people who are older. I worked in banking for 27 years and am glad I left when I did.

    EH I bet you can't wait to get back to the Hebrides .

    WF , the town seems to be losing five altogether, which is a shame for the community they serve.

    Got absolutely AAAAAAGES to wait this time - we're not back again until the Autumn this year. Next Islandey adventure is Lundy later this month though so that's exciting! :T
