That plastic stuff? Nah thanks xx

It's changed in quality a lot of the years, they do types with varying lengths of 'grass' and differing colours - even some with the odd brown 'dead blade' to make it look more natural. Might be worth looking at some to see if you still dislike it. I'm not majorly keen but think I'll end up with a patch of the more realistic looking stuff combined with patio so that the dogs have something soft - they absolutely love the artificial grass as my mum's house!

I do want grass, not the fake stuff - no matter what it looks like it is not real. And wildlife matters too.

Can not /do not want to - keep Zara and cats off the grass so yes, planning to do small sections bit by bit.

When it gets a bit warmer of course :)

I agree. If you put down some grass seed in the spring and slightly cover it then you should have a lovely green covering by the summer. Its probably cheaper than astroturf but you will need a lawn mower.

I love the photos. They all look so cosy. Happy New Year and congratulations on the flat

  • Just had a thought - the fast food can't be that fast if George is catching it, can it?

Oh don't you laugh at my fat ginger boy you heartless person ;)

Poor boy has been flat as a pancake by the cellar door ever since the day he got 2 of them - but not a single one came out since. Really feel for him - all this dedication

Come to visit girl, it has been a longggggggg timeeeeeeeeeee

How is your connection to Finsbury Park?

Going by the pathetic samples Idiot Cat chucks on the kitchen floor after gumming them to death, it's not just George that's flat as a pancake.

Definitely looks easier to get to than Wanstead - text me (same number, new phone) and I'll sort out a Saturday to come and see the Zoo in its new location :D.

But I am NOT coming back here with another small, defenceless, homeless animal, so don't go getting any ideas!

Unless you know of somebody with a Beagle puppy :o

  • I moved too OP! And I never try to keep my cats in for more than a day or so! They were out watching the sun come up on the second day! I spent a lot of time outside with them in my lovely little garden for the first few days but they've actually spent most of the last 3 weeks sleeping! Apparently this is them dealing with the stress!

I DESPERATELY need a large doormat. And I mean VERY big.

Person who lived in the flat before me absolutely destroyed the grass part of the garden so there is mud and mud and more mud with some rotten grass in between the mud.

Can not do much about it at the moment till spring and with 4 cats and a dog in and out all day - I got mud everywhere.

Need to put something by the back door - can anyone recommend please?

I looked at some "sky" brand "mud trapping" doormats but they are crazy expensive for the really big size I need and have some good reviews but also some bad ones and the bad ones are from pet owners so I guess not so good after all.

I can not wipe 20 feed (4 cats and a dog) several times per day so need something that they will walk on before getting inside.

    Help?????

Turtle mats are expensive, but this is an alternative. I can't vouch for them for pets but they seem to work well at church ...
