Well, for once my cup runneth over and, yes, I'm going to gloat about it!

Looked in the petty cash tin at work as finalising all the end of finance year work, and there was one lovely gold coin waiting for me. That's fab, I thought to myself as I exchanged it for two of the old £1 coins.

Then at lunchtime I fancied a chocolate bar. Along came another £2 in my change. Oh, thats wonderful I remarked at the counter - I save these. Well, I have another one in the till came the response from the cashier. Well, there was only ever going to be one response - and it wasn't no :rotfl:

After a busy afternoon it was time to head home. Needed to get carrots on my way home - a good move as the lovely cashier deposited another gem in my hand. :T

So, happy to report that #28 is up £8 today and now standing at £82. Don't think I will have such a good haul in one day again for quite a while.

Hi Twiggy_34. You may want to encourage your friend from work to collect 50p's. Because if she collects £2 coins your source of gaining coins will dry up.

I think you're right Gem-gem, I had another 2 today from work, followed swiftly by 1 in my change when I treated myself and my other half to something from the bakery at lunchtime. I can't believe I've reached £96 already, I usually average at around £170 each year!

I must pay closer attention to her likes & dislikes as the year progresses so that I can get something meaningful as a thank you.

Really can't believe it - another 5 today! Starting to love self service checkouts. But I may need to avoid them for the rest of April as saving all these £2 coins is really starting to dent my food budget.

    So, #28 is now at £92 :j:j

Oh wow! You are having a good week.
Yes, I found that gaining lots of £2 coins can be a double edged sword.

Yes very true about the double edged sword Gem Gem. But I will be pleased at the end of the year when I get to bank them all :rotfl:

Genuinely surprised to be reporting another 3 coins today. Similar story to Tuesday, 2 coins from the lady at work and another in my change when I went to buy a birthday card for my other half just now :)
