HSL give yourself a break. You have spent a lot of time juggling family needs with multiple jobs. Good to make time and £ for you too. Health issues on top don't help.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you Willowtree222 and SH,
Finished work at Job 1 yesterday. I tidied as much as possible and am giving myself a week off to just be with family and SO. The following week I’ll need to get some work done to get ahead on changes at Job 1.
The holidays started in the best way with a walk to the beach with DD3 and DS3. We parked up at a local NT car park and took the path to the beach. It was wonderfully blustery…a fresh wind that really blew the cobwebs away. The sea was foamy white. The waves weren’t huge but more a mass of moving foamy white. Visibility wasn’t great so we could just make out the coastguard vantage point on a distant cliff. Some splashes of yellow could be seen on the cliffs where some gorse flowers cling to the cliff path. We did treat ourselves to a mocha / hot chocolate when we got back to the NT part, paid for by the refund of our table fee, for the Christmas market that had to be cancelled due to Storm Daragh.
Present wise, I’m almost there. I haven’t gone overboard, I simply can’t afford to so have tried to get a gift for everyone that is either something they have specified they need or one that will appeal to their interests. This year is much more of a blended family Christmas and I am amazed and thankful for the ways in which SO has been so thoughtful. Christmas giving has been a team job this year and I don’t feel that I am having to do everything myself as I have felt in the past either through single parenting or in the days when I was with the ex.I was given a book of scone recipes by a colleague which I am looking forward to trying out in the coming weeks.SO recently proposed so we are celebrating this Christmas as an engaged couple and adding a wedding fund pot to the budgeting for next year!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 .
