So sorry to hear about your friend, @Honeysucklelou. I too lost a dear friend - almost 5 years ago now. She was only my age & I know how wrong & sad it feels, as I still miss her.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. @foxgloves she was my age, we’d been friends for almost 30 years and had been though various life events together. She will be very much missed by us all.
This weekend has been weird...lost in thoughts and memories one minute and children needing help with various things most of yesterday. I have one more week at work before the Easter holidays. It’s also a busy week at Job 2 so looks like I’m doing both jobs everyday this week, with the exception of Friday night. I’ve done a couple of weeks like that before and know by Friday I’ll be utterly shattered.
Its a keeping plodding week as @beanielou would say. I am thankful for the continued flowering of the Spring flowers.paydbx2026 #19 £1499/£6000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £133k.

Sending love Honeysuckle, it must be so hard to lose a longtime friend like that. ☹️Sounds like you have a very busy week coming up, hope you’re not too exhausted at the end of it. I honestly don’t know how you cope, you’re a pillar of strength and I really admire you.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I honestly don’t know how you manage with two jobs and all your mama duties. I know that many of your kids are getting older and they don’t all live with you but I know your three littlests at least are still fairly young and probably generating a ton of laundry and mess etc. Plus all the mental load and admin doesn’t necessarily go away when they turn 18. You’re a superhero!I often feel exhausted by Thursday (end of my working week) and I only work 26 hours a week and only have two children. I do hope you find some moments of rest in your week.Part time working mum of DS (2015) and DD (2018).
