Sounds exciting on the mortgage front. Sorry about the Tax Credits though.

Your elec bill sounds very high. Is there anything you can do to reduce it?

I hope you can get some progress with the mortgage. When I last re-mortgaged they wouldn't believe I don't have any commuting expenses (I walk to and from work) and insisted on putting an estimated figure for bus fares down which was annoying as I never get the bus!

So sorry to hear about your friend. Also sorry to hear about DS1 he could've at least popped in, I bet he will when he wants something.  And added to the mix the tax credits 😒

I'm still waiting for my gas/electric direct debit amounts to land. I have one more month of the lower amount and am still in credit. There will be some serious budget pot shuffling once the higher amount kicks in as will be the case for many others I'm sure.
