Thank you Parkyp, SA, joedenise, Cherryfudge, Janb5, SH and Spendless.
Thank you for the comments on flooring. I had thought about vinyl for the bathroom and ordered a sample but was really surprised and a little put off, at how thin it seemed so I was I intrigued when I read the phrase “thick vinyl” on SA’s comment. Some googling led me to discover that thicknesses can range from 1-8mm. I can only assume that the sample I had was nearer the 1mm end. I am impressed by the range of colours and patterns...! In a previous house, I remember using vinyl tiles which were hard wearing.
I got out for a decent walk on Sunday evening. We just stayed local and did a circular route. We clearly haven’t walked this route for some time as parts of the path were quite overgrown - must walk it more regularly ! Lots of blackberries, albeit still green, are evident in the hedgerows, so am keeping those places in mind for picking in a few weeks time🙂.
Yesterday ( Mon) was quite busy. I had a lunch time shift at job 2 followed by a dash home to change and out the door to the interview. DD3 was an absolute star and looked after the younger ones for me, which included bringing them to work for their lunch. That was fun as DS3 doesn’t see me at work, so that gave him opportunity to see what I do! The interview went well ( I think & hope) so just waiting to see now. Spendless - I intend to keep Job 1 as that is my main earning job but if I get this job it will replace or limit job 2. I am now impatient to get these debts gone! It should give me the weekend with the children. It would mean being absolutely ultra organised and using every spare minute for marking /planning on Job 1 days so that I can benefit from the weekend at home with the children.
Today ( Tuesday) is a complete day off as far as I can see, so hoping to catch up with house jobs and meet up with my parents. I could do with a dry breezy day to catch up on drying laundry!

Well done HSL.. you kept me company last night as clearly neither of us could sleep.
I was also cold....in August!5 -
Oh, I hope the interview comes through for you! I think you're super-organised anyway, so I think you'd find a way to get the marking done.
Did you get your good drying weather? It was fine here till the sheets were nearly dry, then there was a downpour! I got the sheets in before they got wet but load 2 had to wait till the sun came back. I was worried about DH, who was out cycling but it turns out he missed the worst of it. I thought he'd be heading for a hot bath and I'd be using the tumble drier.
Enjoy your day off.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Janb5, Cherryfudge and DAL.
Cherryfudge - I did manage to get a couple of lads line dried on Tuesday but it has been very hit and miss with the weather ever since!
On Tuesday I saw my parents - they have very kindly taken the younger DDs with them for a little “holiday”. They love the lido that is close to their house so will be happily swimming each day! It has given me some extra time with DS3 which is good. Yesterday we had great fun going on a walk in the mizzle. We just went locally through some public footpaths. One path takes us through a maize field. The maize is taller than me so we have great fun playing hide and seek as we are walking through. Such simple pleasures...
I paid in £30 in tips and used half to pay off towards a debt and used half towards savings. Last night I did something slightly crazy. About a month ago, I had one of my photos made into a canvas print to hang on the wall. Someone visited and asked where I’d got it. When DD1 told them that it was my photo, they said I should look into the possibility of selling some photos. Maybe it’s a bit crazy but I used some of my tip savings and ordered prints of my 7 favourite photos that I’ve taken on my walks. DD1 has said she will help me with the digital selling but I thought it might be worth a try! At least by using my tip savings, I’m using money that I didn’t expect to have, so feels less of a risk!
Off for a walk in a minute. May need to take a pot as I’m starting to spot some blackberries in the hedgerows.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I like the idea of selling some prints of your photos! Are you able to add a copyright symbol or sign them to keep your copyright and maybe attract more buyers? I am sure they would make perfect souvenirs for holiday makers, as well as attractive decoration in their own right. Just don't underprice them!
Our blackberries are ripening too - we haven't yet finished the stock in the freezer!
