I'm awake because of the storm and just gone to move my large pots into the kitchen!
Is there any way you can apply for an interim payment order for the children? Forgive me for being intrusive but you said your ex is not supporting them which is outrageous!4 -
Hello! Just popping by to say that I admire your ability to keep it all together during these trying times.
And please add me to the list of people who want to bop your ex in the nose!

Thank you Jan and Velvetfreak. I start mediation later this month so am hoping it will all become clearer then. I’m not even sure whether he has completed the hideously long financial disclosure form yet, although I know my solicitor said that we were both being sent one, as she had heard from Ex’s solicitor but that was some months ago.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . It brings back hideous memories of my own divorce 20 years ago. I had this crazy idea It could all be done and dusted in 6 months....??? Everything I was sent I dealt with straightaway, and all documents sent back promptly.
Except my ex didnt have the same end game and was tardy to say the least! He also happened to be working for the same solicitors who acted for him and intercepted the post......! Course when I said this was happening non one believed me until the evidence was there!
Not so happy times....!
I know every case is different but the worst thing is that you are in such a brain fug at the time and trying to cover all bases and in my case struggling with a temporary ` bank` job.

Thank you CCL and Drawing a Line.
The wind has continued to be wild all day. I thought it had begun to ease by 4 but it seems to be still howling around.
I did get get up early this morning and got a vanilla sponge made as the basic cake for DS’s birthday cake. We did a cake themed on his job. Also got a lemon drizzle and coffee ring cake made for packed lunches and snacks this week.
We usually try to have a birthday breakfast so got quite a stack of pancakes made for everyone this morning as a late breakfast/ brunch. I tried to be gracious and included the ex in the breakfast part, given that DS is 18 and the birthday fell on a Sunday this year. The flip side was having to cope with his presence for most of the day but I lost myself in another work task and concentrated on that. Unfortunately the weather being so bad has meant that we couldn’t really get out and do very much .
This evening we had a meal out which came £3 over what I had budgeted. The ex paid half and I paid half which has been the way we’ve done things for birthdays since separating. The meal was delicious ( I always appreciate meals I haven’t cooked 😋).
The budget for the rest of the week has changed slightly. I had set aside £40 for diesel and was going to visit the garage this afternoon. I went out to start up but it wouldn’t start. I think it’s the battery although why I’m not sure. I didn’t leave anything on, so quite a mystery. I didn’t want to call anyone out on this weather so will have to do that on my next day off and borrow my dad’s to get to work. The plus side is that my dad’s car is cheaper to run.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I’m reaching the point where I’m hoping that nothing goes wrong on anything else because it seems to have been a run of things breaking down or needing replacing since Oct and I can’t do any more! I hasten to add that I am very thankful that my dad has a spare vehicle that I can make use of at such times.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
