Learners on motorways

So how is someone who lives in Wick, Portree, Penzance, Sandown, etc, etc., supposed to do their motorway tuition?
I also wonder how the requirement for the tuition to be in a dual control car will be policed.
By going to a motorway and doing it.
Just because people live by the beach doesn't mean they aren't going to drive on a motorway. It makes sense that the first time that happens is with an instructor, for everyone's safety.0 -
I don't see a correlation between hours spent learning and how good you are at driving, but if you must know, I took about 28 lessons in total? Had one hour with my dad and passed on my third attempt.
Well you had an opinion when I said I'd passed with half the tuition you needed.
And how would you have funded the additional 92 hours of lessons if you had to do 120?0 -

You are correct, I re-read what I put and edited it.
The same way I funded the first 28 hours, with money.
Glad you hear you have wealthy parents.
But seeing as you can drive at 17 but cannot leave school until 18 these days it think 120 lesson is going to be out of the reach of a lot of youngsters.0 -

I wish, could buy fancy Golf GTE's if I did :rotfl:
That's why it goes hand in hand with my other point. 17 is too young to be able to drive.0 -
Are learners legally banned from the motorway currently? It doesn't hurt for a bit of variation if the instructor is comfortable with them doing 50-70. Obviously you wouldn't want these snails who do 20 in a 30 heading on to the motorwayMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)0 -
