Everyone makes their own rules SkintTeacher so it is up to you.
eg I dont count budgeted spends as long as I dont go over budget ie food, petrol.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. 15/30 no idea what target to set other than NSDs rock as a concept.:beer:0

Spent a fair bit today on food, plus some treats for the dog, so not a NSD for me. My rule is any day where I don't buy anything is a NSD. Other folks have a budget and don't count any spends that are within budget. Horses for courses etc. I am at work the next two days so should have another two NSDs to add to the collection. One life - your life - live it!0
-
Another 2 NSD in their bag yesterday and today. That makes my total NSD 3.If you dream it can you do it????????0

Now look at what's happened - marmite is in the corner, clutching a half eaten stoatburger and gibbering on about how much is that doggie in the window! I tell you, if she passes out then you and Mrs Doyle will be putting her to bed. Good luck with taking off her 18 hour girdle, I'm not touching it, not after seeing the state of her drawers!
I mean her drawers she keeps her underwear in, stupido!
There's gratitude for you...honestly,the cheek of the woman.
I did have a wee bit of a sore head but Igor slipped me a double pink gin so ...mm,ok,maybe I should kept that to myself.Yikes.

SkintTeacher Have a read of this. You might have missed it but I think it'll help you, rule wise.marmiterulesok wrote: »Nargle I want a word with you.I turn my back for 5 seconds and you let the floodgates open....plus I was halfway through adding the names and I lost my post.

Welcome to the fabbiest, most splendiferous challenge on ze planet,ja!!!! :j:j:j:j:j
Yes,indeed.Oh happy day,oh glory be.Ennessdee Towers is the place to be,the party continues and we are ready to sally forth and capture lots of lovely nsds!
The first day of the year and we are ready to,er,be more careful with our hard earned cash.Moth cultivation in other words.
Welcome to all the wondrous newbies!:money::T
Remember:the only rule about nsds is that there are no rules. You decide how it works.
One:For example,my rules are as follows,ie what doesn't count as an nsd:
- all bills, direct debits, rent etc (these are essential payments)
- travel ie taking the bus (as I have a yearly travelcard)
-all prescriptions (as essential)
- going to the cinema or swimming or gym (subscription for each)
-budgeted spends ie any food spends if within grocery budget limits for the week.
Two:You might not agree with some of my 'rules' but tough;they're my rules, not yours...
Three:Then there's the question of allowed spends. An allowed spend will let you purchase the object required, but only that object, meaning that you can still claim an nsd.
Could be bread,petrol,bananas,toothpaste.
Four:Emergency spends:for example,if I ran out of loo roll,I would count buying some as an emergency spend, and that spend wouldn't count.
Anyway, just a few ideas to get you thinking about your rules.
Okay people: let's do it!!!!!!0 -
