I ordered a Denby plate from Amazon but when it arrived it wasn't the design I'd ordered. I phoned them, expecting them to want it returned to them, but they asked if I'd like to keep it and they would send out the correct design. Which they kindly did.
I have only had one incident of feeling let down by an Amazon purchase, although it wasn't their fault. I bought a gift card for a birthday present, to be delivered in a small cupcake shaped tin. (In hindsight, I should've just bought a gift voucher and sent the code by email).
Amazon duly dispatched it, and the following morning the tracking on Royal Mail showed 'out for delivery', but it didn't get delivered on time for the birthday. Royal Mail finally delivered it the day after the birthday. For me, it was a lesson learnt. I think I was more disappointed that it hadn't arrived on time, than my niece was that it arrived later than her birthday.
