    Welcome back Alja x

Vulpix- glad DD enjoyed her job (again). Is she going to be working there more often during the summer holidays or will she still be a Saturday girl?

GTQ- well done on that weight loss- I agree that consistent loss rather than fits and starts leads to it staying off much longer. 20 cakes- OMG! Baking in this heat isn't pleasant so I don't envy you x

Free- good on you for treating yourself to the stag duvet cover xx

Peppa- ooh a model village sounds lovely!

DD's birthday party went well, she loved the decs etc and a good time was had by all (mostly lol!). I am going to spend today putting all the birthday stuff away and trying to clear every surface of the house of sequins- they are everywhere off the table cloths and our dresses etc. Now her birthday is done- ROLL ON CHRISTMAS I say!!!

I underestimated just how much blue tack would needed to keep the flowers in place, glad to say they stayed in place and didn't fall off.

MURIE the flowers are so lovely and the table is fab (as is the menu) :T now you can have a very well deserved rest.

FREE hope that wobbly tooth either gets its act together or wobbles it's way out. :D Glad you got the quilt cover and hope you love it when it arrives.

GTQ OMG 20 cakes!!! I used to think that about retirement but since my early retirement a year or so back I've found that I still don't get things done. I'm not sure now how I did anything at all when I was working or the children were small. I think about doing stuff a lot but don't always follow it up with actually doing it. :D

0462 glad work is going well and your back is holding up. Have a fab holiday.

Poor DD2 and DGD had to have their little dog put to sleep yesterday so we went down to offer support. It's a very sad time for them and we'll miss her too as we normally have her to stay when DGD comes up in the school holidays. Unfortunately it hasn't helped my campaign to persuade DH that we need another dog either :(

On a happier note I'm finding my thoughts are starting to include Christmassy things now, still no action but I'm starting to feel familiar festive tingles. Having said that I have a big birthday this year and have been asked what I'd like to do so I'll be thinking about that too as I've no idea at the moment.

DS won a raffle prize at the school fete which came in a lovely basket so that can be reused for a hamper
wilko's had a lot of stationary stuff rtc picked up some A5 coloured paper pads for 15p packs of 60 colouring pencils for 30p and little pots of paperclips/bulldog clips ext for 25p which can go in the kids stocking so that's a start
Ordered Taz the angry bird pirate ship from argos bargain at £14.99

I will get 5 mins to catch up soon but taz is whining so better shoot
    tc all
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
  • Hello everyone hope you are all ok. Haven't posted in a while I've been trying to get the bullying sorted as mentioned in previous posts a while back. It's finally starting to get sorted but still a long way off returning to normal.

New thrift and PK congratulations on your new arrivals.
Murie the decorations and cake look lovely you're very talented.
Welcome to the newbies and returnees.

TQ I am very pleased to hear that things have improved for you.

Stunning Murie, very impressive. I am envious of your table cloth.

Nice to see folk popping in,Christmas is starting to come to mind.

good for you Free, treating yourself, and why not.

Peppa,so sad to lose a pet. They leave a big gap. They are family.

I have finally painted the gate. And borrowed some big ladders to start decorating in the house! Think I may start with the easy one,the bathroom.

DD1 has told me her Bf would appreciate some tiny screwdrivers. He wanted to do something to some electrical thing and didnt have one small enough.Might be an idea for other difficult to buy for people.

    Vx

Crikey, what a palaver. Yesterday I clicked on a link someone posted which took me off MSE then I couldn't remember my password to log back in so had to change it then forgot to tick 'keep me logged in' so this morning it chucked me off again - fortunately new password MSE sent me still worked and now I've changed it to something else. I did notice that every time I was on here not logged in I had the new format whereas as me I keep the old one. Am I the odd one out now? Does everyone else view in the new format (actually not so new now of course)? One advantage was that the first page shows at the top of the current one so you can see the birthdays which was good but I suppose sometimes it's easier to stick with what you know. I don't know whether to change or not now in case I don't like it and can't change back. What has everyone else done?

TREASUREQUEEN I'm really glad the bullying is being sorted at last, hang in there and it'll all be worth it I need the end.

MANDCO good to see you're ok.

VULPIX yay, well done on the gate - are we having pics?

Last night I remembered the password for my Christmas List app so I've updated it all and it's ready for action! I bought DDIL's pressie yesterday in Wilkies, it's one of those three tier planter things for the patio or wherever, usual price £14 reduced to £8 and scanned at £4 so I was very happy.

Kept having short power cuts yesterday which affected the wireless controls for the central heating and all the rads came on even though the thermostat was set to off, yes 25 degrees outside and we had the heating on! Had to turn all the rads off individually which thankfully worked so fingers crossed it's back to normal today.

I agree, prefer older version, easier on eyes. Don't worry about ticking the keep me logged in box, it doesn't:mad: Was so annoying yesterday having to keep logging in, just in case I wanted to post anything. What's the point in the tick box if it doesn't do what it says?
