Good Morning all!
Well had a bad night and am in pain but have got love actually on to cheer me up. Have watched so many christmas stocking stuffers vlogs that I have a huge list of ideas!
Vulpix- They have said if I have another operation that it will have to be a fusion. In the grand scheme of things its not as bad as what others are going through. It just seems every time I get our lives back to some kind of normality my back decides to be horrendous!
You are definitely a great example for having it done though lol Yes we can start the crafts again, when would be best for everybody? Summer hols are coming up so do we want to start in July or after summer hols in Sept?
Mrs I- Thanks for the message, I am worried about work too, I have found a job I absolutely love. They are being great with me but I really do not want to wear out their understanding. They do Know all about my condition. Glad you grandnibs are enjoying the weather. Never heard of that saying before, it made me laugh xx0 -
Hello
I am feeling so very behind on here and with Christmas prep, although I did buy some chocolate oranges for £1 each in sainsbugs the other day - this is the extent of my gift stash so far
Still awaiting baby's imminent arrival and trying my best to enjoy this bit of time on maternity before mayhem breaks loose. Which does mean, I finally have found a bit of time to get on here and say hello. I've had a little bit of a read but haven't read far back.
0462 I hope you are able to find some pain relief before the final need for surgery comes.
free Hope you manage to clear the bindweed. Not something I have had to deal with before but I hear it is not fun, sorry!
peppa Glad you have a fab time at ascot ladies day, always nice to posh it up now and again
mrsI Enjoy the leek and almond flan, hope it goes down well with DS.
I hope everyone is keeping wellChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
NEWTHRIFT lovely to see you, your Christmas prep is further on than mine lol. It's a good idea to make the most of your 'free' time, it's in short supply from here on in but totally worth it of course. Apologies if I've forgotten but do we know if we're team pink or team blue or are you waiting to see?
0462 it sounds like you've been really unlucky to have got back on your feet and then have someone drive into you and start it all up again. Ooh the ceiling mess sounds very unpleasant, I've always dreaded a ceiling coming down (until now we've always lived in old houses) with all the years of accumulated dust and dirt. I hope you get sorted soon and I'm sure once your lovely loft conversion is finished you'll forget all about this.
MRSINVISIBLE it must feel very strange losing neighbours after such a long time but hopefully the new people will be lovely and their little ones will keep you entertained. We've got bindweed too so I'm going to try the weed killer in a bottle tip, fortunately no brambles and I'll have to google mares tail. That saying made me laugh too, I've heard the first part but never teamed with that ending before :rotfl:
VULPIX I like the idea of the bags in lieu of stockings - pretty and practical. I'll add that to my ideas stash. Btw I bought the bark chippings this week and have been waiting for rain so I can put them on wet earth. Think I might water instead tonight as I'd like to get it all put down. Also bought three lavendar plants today to fill in gaps in the lavendar circle in the front garden so I just need to get out there and dig now. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
:undecidedWell, try as I might, I am still running to stand still. Thought this week may be productive as the past 3 have achieved nothing although I was really busy.
I did manage to collect my new boots from Debenhams, got to say that I am very happy with them, navy suede effect, so started winter prepping! Not done much in the Christmas line, although I did pick up a couple of reed diffusers in Sainsburys for £6 each, so will put them aside as either part or token gifts.
Ikea sale is currently on, so need to nip in there to get some serviettes, they are truly the best value on the market, so I buy a stash when on sale. Think I have also decided to buy some of their white mugs, (well 20 of them!) and use them as my class gifts at Christmas, fill them with sachet of hot chocolate etc, wrap in cellophane & Bob's your uncle. Or I may make fudge? Anyway, whichever I do, the mugs are only 90p each and are decent quality, so can only be on a winner.
Currently going to Slimming World, need to lose a lot, down 1 1/2 st already, had set target of 2 before I go on holidays, if I keep going the way I am, will make it 2 1/2 before I go. The major downside is my clothes are now a tad too big & I don't know what to buy:( Will need to do a mega spend before I go, but am feeling the benefits immensely, so got to be a good thing.
Good to see familiar names appearing here again, imagine things will start to pick up soon & we will all be posting more often with our bargains! Anyone know when the Christmas cards start to make an appearance? I want to try & have almost everything done by end of October, mid Nov latest, that includes wrapping, I want to be able to enjoy December :rotfl:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Hi all, please say hello to baby Joshua, born last Monday weighing 8lbs 1oz:
I know some of you have seen him on Instagram but it's only right he's introduced to the Christmas thread.
The timing wasn't great as we were in hospital for the mega heatwave so we were desperate to get out in the end but we've been home a few days now and the weather has definitely cooled off! I'm currently looking out the window at clouds and rain! Is it too much to ask for a sunny day but not too hot? I love being British and never happy with the weather! :rotfl:
I haven't really been able to catch up so I hope you're all ok and i'll hopefully be able to keep up again now, I have more hours in the day now that i'm up half the night again!0 -
Afternoon everyone, the kids are busy packing to go away on Friday so I have the house to myself for a week yayyy I miss their company but I don't miss their untidiness. I love cleaning and tidying in the morning and it still looks clean and tidy at night :rotfl:
PRINCESSKITTY I know I have congratulated you on IG but what a beautiful pic of Joshua, he is absolutely gorgeous, I hope you are well and the labour went smoothly
PEPPAPIG I don't blame you not liking fights they frighten me, I cant get away quick enough if I see something, it all goes back to being on a ferry and two pi**ed blokes one in front of me one behind me started fighting tabes flew everywhere, I was only about 12 at the time.
CHRISSY I like the hot chocolate station jar set
CLUMSY glad you enjoyed the wedding
04624181 sorry about your ceiling falling in, were you in bed at the time? I hope it gets sorted quickly. The embroidered stockings sound lovely
VULPIX I hope the headache has gone by nowyou really are superwoman with all that has been done to your back and you still manage to do all that you do. The Orla Kiely bags are a brilliant idea to hold presents
MRSINVISIBLE thankyou for the advice on the bindweed, I hope the new neighbours will be lovely, they cant not love you, you are the perfect neighbourGlad you are having a fab time with the Chinese contingent and the kids are enjoying their bikes
