CRAZYCATLADY you're def not the only one. My worst time is late evening when I'm not tired enough to go to bed and I'm on the internet (especially Facebook selling groups) or occasionally watching QVC. I sometimes think anyone could sell me anything just before bedtime.:D
Ha. That's the time I'm at it too. It must be a late night weakness thing. I daren't watch QVC. I sit and watch the craft channel when the baby naps and want half of it!Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Hi all,
Had a lovely day with the niece, she's getting so big now (4 foot 8 and only 8 years old, but my dad is almost 7 feet tall so I guess she takes after him).
Free - there's no support here, unless you pay for it yourself and having not worked properly for some time, I can't afford it. Wish there was!
Managed to have a quick list of who I need to buy for this year, I have a birthday or two next month so picking up cards over the next week.
Also got an email at 8pm from my uncle telling me he had broken his leg. One concerned phone call later, he's ok and recovering, but it did come a little out of the blue and he's known for a few days - I could kill him sometimes!0 -
Happy belated birthday wishes JJ! Hope you are still being as awesome as ever
Free- that's good news about the fence, one less thing to worry about.
Peppa- you go girl, a few days away will be good for you and DH and something nice to look forward to never hurts!
Vulpix- wow good news about the tuition- sounds like it ticks all the right boxes for you! Sorry to her about your DM, hopefully she will be out soon feeling better and whizzing around on her frame in her newly decluttered re organised home x
Crazy cat lady- Im the same, I woke up yesterday and decided that we are going to have new living room furniture! Its been on my mind for ages, DHs fave chair is literally falling apart and one of the settees you have to be hoisted out of as the springs have gone and you sink into the hole! New furniture being delivered next week (yeah I will believe that when I see it lol). Ive had my eye on this furniture for a while so whilst its not an impulse buy it is a spend I could have done without making. Oops naughty me!
Dom Ravioli- my BIL broke his leg last year in two places and waited a week before going to hospital because he thought he had bruised it!
Had my family birthday party last night which wasn't too successful and it has upset me a bit tbh. DH was grumpy, DM was unwell, DSis got drunk and was lairy, DNs were arguing and bickering at each other all night, DD and DS were shattered as they had done the meal for me (and DN who shares a birthday with me and it was his 18th), and I just sat back and watched the evening go down the pan! I was glad when they all went home and I could get to my bed! Its not often I fall out with any of them but last night I could have booted them all out the front door! (And now I feel bad for saying that but I have got it off my chest lol!)
No plans for today except to vacuum the multitude of sequins up off the floor from the table runners that I bought for my party- they are flippin everywhere!
Hope everyone has a good Sunday!lovin' this site!

Afternoon, it's a bit chilly again today, but sunny and bright which is making me feel all Spring.
Belated happy birthday Murie.
Storm Doris completly passed us by. We are south west scotland and was expecting 20-30cm of snow. We had no snow or wind. Glad really, we have had a bit if a battering recently. Hope everyone else was pretty much untouched.
I can't believe its March in a day. Where has the time gone since xmas? , feels like a couple of weeks! Which means it will be next xmas before we know it lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
kerri gt - I'm glad I'm not the only one! to get that way about the marriage children thing
mrsinvisible - I love your cousins response, might just have to adopt that one myself haha
Doris caused a few disruptions here, we had no phone signal or electric for most of Thursday, 2 trees down, one crushing an apple tree and cherry treeand the chickens shelters flew round and round the garden quite scary because they take 2 people to lift them!
Murie happy belated birthday  sorry to hear your party didn't go so well
JJ Happy belated birthday!
vulpix - I hope your mums ok! There was a man teaching a lady English sat behind me in a cafe recently it was fascinating to listen to. There's a place here called Learning Zone, and they hire people as tutors for all levels of education, and have a few sort of classrooms but it's done on a one to one basis, if that makes sense.. it was set up so parents had one central place to go to to look for tutors.
crazy-cat-lady - crafting supplies are the hardest thing to resist. I did a sort of no spend Feb... I tried... I slipped up a couple times, but I just think imagine what I could have spent if I hadn't tried...... got a few trips out planned in March so march I'm just on best behaviour but going to try for no spend April too, so I can save up for birthday outings in May
I have nothing interesting to report... how boring is that! haha xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
finally caught up with all the posts, what a lot has happened in the last few months.
big hugs to everyone. belated birthday wishes to those I've missed.
to late to try craft challenge but look forward t trying next one.
a lot has happened to me in the past year, maybe fill you in when not so raw.
decided to try to give up clutter for lent. a bag a day for 40 days. should be achievable at the moment.
catch you son0 -
determined to be organised so 1 )Christmas gift list written. 2 ) list of gifts already bought and put away.
not bad, feel like playing catch up though !
bag 1 completed whoop whoop !0 -
Looks like I might not be the only be who didn't manage the craft challenge 🙄, I must do better.
Wow DOMRAVIOLI your niece is tall for her age but them I'm five feet nothing so quite a few eight year olds don't have far to go to catch me up.
NIC I know what you mean, the weeks are flying by aren't they. Glad Doris missed you.
PIXTOTTS I think Feb must just be a boring month, nothing interesting to report here either.
TRENDYJENNY it looks like you've made a flying start to your Christmas prep for this year, I must admit I haven't thought about it at all yet and didn't even buy any cards in the sales.
Inspired by the little bits of sun recently I think I'm going to buy a new saddle and handlebar grips for my bike. I want the brown leather (well faux leather) ones because they look more vintage than the pretty ones that are on there at the moment. Yes folks, this is what passes for exciting news here at the moment. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
