Oh sorry Clumsy! It is typicallovin' this site!

I love Christmas, I just wish I didn't leave all my shopping to the last minute. By last minute, I mean, last year i went out on Christmas eve, went through the shops and treated myself to a pint after successfully bought a present. Needless to say, I was very drunk by the end of it.0

I finally got my chocolate tubs in Tesco, put them all away in the cupboard now ready to start tucking into in the next few months
I have ordered some really cute little wooden snowflakes & hearts on string from Amazon. My plan is to decorate them, probably with glitter & maybe some swarovski crystals to make them really sparkle & they will then be part of my gifts for my sisters. I've started coming up with so many to do lists that need to be completed before Christmas, it's just finding the time to actually do them!
Long day in work for me today, so I have taken a cheeky little 5 minute break to give my brain a rest. Usually things start to quieten down for us in work at this time of year, but there are a lot of things going on at the moment which means I am just getting busier & busier.
On a good note though, I booked the work Christmas party today, deposit paid & date confirmed. I just need to send out the details to everybody now.0 -

Boots are starting to put out the xmas gifts looks like there might be some nice stuff again this year
matalan have xmas stock instore didn't have time to browse but again some really nice stuff by the look of it. I've looked online when it went live but it can be hard to judge quality ect
If anyone has (little)girls to buy for superdrug had pink foil chocolate coins 75p
I have a what would you do question
dd wants a beauty advent calendar and she was meant to save up towards it pocket/birthday money but hasn't bothered as spent it on other things. Now I can't afford to buy it as an advent calendar its £80  but debating about getting it as her main present instead but not sure if I should? part of me feels she didn't bother to save as she assumed I'd get it anyway and buying it will reinforce that but she did spend most of her money on clothes so its not as if she really wasted it
what would you do?
Taz on the other hand is easy to please he said he'd like some fruit pastels for xmas :rotfl:this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
ooh mandco, that's a difficult one. Has she written a Christmas list? Maybe it's worth finding out what she really really wants priority wise. Beauty calendars are quite a "must have" at the moment but it might be worth seeing if there's anything else she'd want more instead?
I went to Mr T early today before work and picked up 9 Terrys chocolate oranges. Going to use 6 for my friends' Christmas treat jars, they're perfect for filling them up more without spending lots!
I don't really want to spend much more money on the jars, so I'm wondering if I can get some other bits for free at some point to fill them up...somehow! So close to £2.50 on my Nectar card but I no longer work near the store so I hardly ever go to boost up my points.0 -

Thank you for the tip about the Boots website having their Christmas stuff Pavlov's dog! I'm thinking of making my Mum a box of scented candles this year and they've got some that sound very nice in the 3 for 2 section, will have to go and test them in store!"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Can't say I'm impressed by the boots offerings again this year. Prices are staying the same but content is getting smaller and smaller. Their gift sets have always been on the expensive side (especially if bought individually instead on 3-4-2), but the value of the products compared to the price you pay seems especially poor this year. Most gift sets now seem to contain travel sizes instead of full size items, yet you are still paying the price of the full size item or more for some pretty packaging.
If they repeat the usual offer of having all the individual big name toiletries on 3-4-2 you'll get far better bang for your buck making your own hampers.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
