Bearing in mind they'll have paid £18 for it and it will cost £13 to post it because of the weight (3.3 kg) that's not such a bad price. After ebay & paypal charges they'll only be making just over a quid profit. Not worth bothering selling them on ebay. The reason I know about the costs for postage is that I was going to post one as a present - nearly as cheap to take it myself!!! I bet the sellers on ebay haven't realised how much it's going to cost to post them.
Rather than paying £13 to post something, try Hermes - drop your item at a ParcelShop and it'll cost you £5.95 inc VAT for a tracked and insured parcel weighing up to 5kg. I'm sure there will be plenty of detractors about the service Hermes offers, but in my experience they beat the Post Office hands down - at less than half the cost (and usually with no queuing at all in my local ParcelShop).
If you'd sooner have it collected from your door, Hermes charges £6.30 for parcel up to 5kg.0 -

I use them occasionally too and also receive items from them and haven't had any issues whatsoever.
I agree, so much cheaper than Royal Mail for larger, heavier items.0 -
I know the Boots mailers are meant to be done at random and so aren't guaranteed every time (or so a SA once informed me) but I've found that since I've been regularly using 'My Offers' online I get less advantage card mailings from them. My Mum gets them every time without fail but not me, I got some in Sept but not this time, seem to be getting them every other time i think. Wouldn't be surprised if it's phased out for active app users and it's all online for them, that way it prevents people 'doubling up' the deals too...0

Boots in Trafford Centre had hundreds of Superdry nail sets - black nail polish and a nail buffer, £6.00 down to £1.80.
Nice little stocking filler for someone that has a use for a black nail polish though not to everyone's liking, that said you could pay that for the nail buffer alone!0 -

Hermes don't carry liquids!! If they detect liquids in any parcel they will dispose of the parcel. It's on their website. No point in risking sending something with them - if a parcel went missing you would have to describe it and tell them what was in there to make a claim. As soon as you said toiletries the claim would be invalid.0 -

Hermes are fine on things like packaged toiletries which contain modest quantities of body lotion, liquid soap, toilet water etc. Many of the bigger retailers use them - I ordered various Sanctuary Spa stuff from Boots before Christmas and that all came via Hermes.
If you send items sold on ebay and link your account to Hermes, you don't need to do any describing - they already have the information.0 -
After much thinking,,, shall I go ,,, shall I not ,
I decided to go to get my boys ( adult young men) stocking sacks bits,, men's stuff was very low , no big sets other than a scarf FCUK set ,, so I got that and a few smaller sets , fat face , Lynx and so on,,
It was the least I've ever spent on this day !:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0 -
Glad some people managed to get something in the Boots 70% sale. My nearest (7 miles away and small) had nothing left yesterday except for a few bottles of nail polish - guess no-one wanted them so l got nothing.
Having read your post about people grabbing and filling bags and trolleys l have to wonder how someone could use this amount of stuff. Perhaps it is time Boots had a policy in place to stop people buying this amount, because l am sure it will now be listed on e-bay or for sale at the local car boot sale.
This stops the customers that regularly shop at Boots throughout the year who can't get in on the day due to work benefiting from some of these discounts. Not everyone can book the day off.Stash Busting Challenge 2016 6/520 -
