all the stores I have ever gone to on first day of the 75/70% sale over the years have opened at their normal opening times.

That is the same as previous years. It is because everything isn't 70%, just like everything isn't 50% at the moment.

Agreed, I can't be bothered this year. Many years ago it used to be great - no pushing and shoving, people strolling aound only buying what they wanted instead of ramraiding and piling trolleys high with 25 of the same sets - elbowing everyone out of the way...ah well

Been down to Boots at Wigan retail park tonight for a recci, and there's honestly nothing I want. The No7 sets have actually all been removed from the shelves where there was about 30 earlier in the week. I've got tomorrow morning booked off work especially but I'll be staying in bed instead. That's a first for me. And I've been one of those people queuing outside for the doors to open, and the sprinted down the isle to grab No7 stuff in the past. The tide has now turned and its just not worth it.

Doesn't it show that as a company they are getting their ordering etc more right if they are not having to sell stuff off in the 70% Sale?

Went into Kingswood Hull Boots today and Kingston Retail Park Hull, sale sections were relatively small, though quite a few small aisles full in Kingswood. In both I noticed alot of the Sanctuary star gifts, Ted Baker, Seventeen and a few Soap & Glory star gifts. Alot of the 'teenager' gifts and mens gift sets still available in both. I personally won't be bothering, was hoping to get some fragrance sets online

I too will give it a miss this year. Was hoping to pick up a couple of toys online but am not up for a ruck in the store just to smell nice and at the end of the day be defeated because people cleared shelves. Last year the best items were under or at the back of shelves due to the tussle. I hope everyone has a civilised shop and gets what they want?

The app just keeps closing itself down when I try and do it that way....

I've had that message umpteen times recently.

I find that nine times out of ten, I can get to the offers by just moving over to the menu on the left-hand side of the screen - under 'Narrow your results', and clicking on 'Offers just for me'.

I've just tried it again, and it worked again.

I'm using a laptop - I don't know if that makes any difference. But it might be worth seeing if it works for you too.
