Hi everyone,
I have read the newbies section for Scotland/NI but am hoping for some more clarification as it was issued in the building where I live and it's making me feel sick with worry at the thought of ignoring it.
In my building, we have one allocated parking space for our apartment and must have our pass displayed to show we have permission to park in space 14. The parking charge notice was issued by the Parking & Enforcement Agency LTD on 17/12/16 at 07:24 for 'no valid permit on display' and it states it is a member of the BPA. It's a computer generated notice, not hand written. What is really annoying me about it is that the name of the road is spelt wrong and the wrong postcode has been used - for an area that's a 10 min drive away.
The pass was on the dashboard, in the corner and could be seen if the attendant went to that side of the car. From the pictures they have taken, it looks like there is no pass at all and my partner moved the pass to a visible place before taking any photos. It's £100 but reduced to £60 if paid withing 14 days.
I think if this was in any other car park in the city, I would be happy to ignore it. I'm just very concerned that it's because I live in the building.

belfast seems to be in NI and you do not have the POFa 2012 running , therefore they can only go after the driver , not the owner
do NOT ring / write or email them , no drivers name , no biscuits!!
think there was a poster on here that said there had been NO cases at your county courts
ps:
PEA (s) track record of court

Thank you for the reply! That link is also very useful
Could they go as far to get my details from the DVLA and cross ref with security camera footage or am panicking too much?0 -
they bcan do what they want , but as far as the law goes they cannot use CCTV for this reason
you will get LOTS and LOTS of junk mail , from many debt collectors , look at the names/addresses at the bottom and play "snap"
only if you admit to driving can they start court
if any mail from them or debt collectors mentions POFa2012 , return to this thread and tell us ,

I've just checked the PCN again and it doesn't state our apartment number! I'm thinking we're less likely to receive any junk mail?
I'll keep an eye out for anything stating the POFa2012. Thanks again for your help!0 -

You are not understanding, there is NO POFA2012 in NI as well as Scotland.
As pappa said, IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE
As long as you don't name a driver, there is nothing they can do
You will possibly get a hoard of very silly debt collector letters which you ignore because debt collectors involved in the scamming parking industry have NO POWER ..... WHATSOEVER
As you have seen, that company don't go to court. That is because they don't know who the driver is ..... GET THE POINT ???
Have a great xmas and forget it0 -
PCNs issued in NI are to be used as toilet paper
Throw it away, and throw any other correspondence they send away
Only red coats or the police tickets are inforceable here
Don't lose any sleep over them0 -
You guys are amazing!
Thank you so much, hope you all have a lovely Christmas!0 -

Brilliant confirmation suki1964, thank you
Lucky you in NI
I learned from here
I was issued two in asda a couple of years back. I saw the guy issuing them, went up and asked it it was a fine or an invitation to pay. He said an invoice, so I said cheers, I don't wish to pay and gave him back both tickets
Never heard another word
However trying to educate people on this is so difficult. I have many many friends who just cough up
