NSD here - have spent the morning de-Christmas'ing the house and writing a meal plan for the week, won't need to go shopping till Wed, and then hope to keep it under £20 for essentials.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Sigh - £10.33 added on a run around town - I'd not noticed that we were almost out of instant coffee. So two big jars on special offer bought, plus some naans & poppadums; it's curry night tonight & the last one before DS3 goes back to uni, so a couple of his favourites are called-for. When it's just the girls, OH & I , I make gram-flour flatbreads instead of naans. But DS3 is notoriously unwilling to try anything new...Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Soo sorry for those going through a bad time right now, hugs to those that need them. Hoping things will get better for everyone.
I'm putting us down for £155 starting 1st and going until the 31st. This is going to be just for food for 2 people. We have no need for cleaning items etc at all at the moment. Chinchilla budget is separate now. I have the money out in cash already.
Yesterday we had a NSD. OH may go shopping later when he gets home, will post if he does.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -

Unintentional NSD here too.
I have a cough which has kept me up for the past few nights and, being pregnant, I am unsure which, if any, cough syrups are ok. So I went to our Tesco extra looking for pineapple juice, or even fresh pineapple - but they only had whole, fresh pineapple and they were all really under ripeSo no pineapple for me today!
I am going to have a hot water with honey (don't like it) and lemon instead. Hopefully I can sleep tonight, 'cos I have clients first thing!
Hopefully, I can hold off going to the shops till Friday as that's when we get paid.0 -
Sent Hubby and 18 year old daughter to Aldi this morning for the weeks shop. Armed with a list they managed to get everything except courgettes or bananas (all bananas were too ripe for how we like them).
This was Hubby's first proper big shop in years. He hates shopping and I knew he would stick to the list and whiz around Aldi at lightning speed to get the chore done haha. He was only going to nip to Aldi to get a box of tea bags and I jokingly said, you might as well do my shop for me and save me doing it tomorrowGrocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.000
