Virgin deal £18 month. Can I ask for this as a current customer paying 2x as much?

(This happened when I left BT and I now realise I should have cancelled the new contract with my new supplier and accepted BT's last minute alternative offer.)
Incidentally, why is Virgin not willing to put you on a new contract with them? Let me guess, it is because the charge is lower and they will not say so.
If you leave, then it is more likely Virgin will accept you on a new contract because it will get something rather than nothing. So you may have to force the issue.
Yep may have to take the chance
I'd definitely ask them to cancel down if you can find an alternative fibre service and can quote their prices. That's the only way you're going to get a decent service.0 -
Honestly, the BB via the phone line is shockingly bad-I can't face the thought of going back. VM is def smoother and faster a sthey use their own cables.
Just rang-they can offer me £25.25 a month and cannot offer me the £18 deal as I am not a new customer.
I was on 150mbps and wanted to save costs....so I downgraded to this plan...18 pounds per month and a 20 pounds account credit thrown in
It can be done0 -

In which case, it should not matter too much who provides the service so long as the exchange and switching equipment operates as quickly as the rest of the network.
Are you 100% sure Virgin's service be faster than anyone else's?
Virgin use their own infrastructure - everyone else uses BT. My VM broadband is around 207Mbps and their (current) top tier. BT come nowhere near this. Sure it can drop a little, but knocks BT and their pals into a cocked hat.0 -
I rang up again and they can't offer me anything so I have cancelled. But will not have BB in a months time. TBh part of me thinks its a blessing. I better take up a hobby!Respond to every call that excites your spirit.0
