People do see these cars as belonging to them, even when they clearly don't, the difference between aspiration and reality.
Is that really necessary?
There are many reasons why people chose to lease - moreoften these days because its cheaper than buying a car and reselling it over the same time period.
Is it not a good thing that people who lease take pride in their cars? Surely thats better news for those of us who buy the used cars down the line0 -
I bet if you tried to hand it back at the end of the lease if you'd fitted some cheapo windscreen you would be paying to have an OE one fitted though
Quite probably. The same as if someone hit a car I owned, I'd want OEM replacements but if I were replacing my own parts, maybe I'd use cheaper versions.0 -

Of course its not necessary.
This Strider bloke pops up in every thread, displaying the serious chip on his shoulder and his obvious insecurities by repeating the same barely relevant and ill founded social judgments at every opportunity.

It seems OP suspects significant accident damage? I would not accept any more bull from the dealer, I would demand a written statement of precisely how and what was damaged and extent of the repairs.
I would not be happy to accept a crash damaged car. I would read my lease agreement carefully to see what penalty I may incur if I reject the car.
If you do decide to accept it, you may wish to have it examined by an expert?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Even thou the OP doesnt own the car they are still paying as if it was brand new on lease as stated you take it back at end of term they will rip it apart and charge you, Plus its also surprising how many s called "new" cars just reg on road as new vehicle i recently saw one that was reg on a 66 plate..................build date ............July 2013, rusted hubs etc gave the game away0

I agree with this, OP. You need to find out exactly what has happened to the car otherwise the repair may be picked up when you hand the car back and you could be stung with charges. Personally I wouldn't accept a car which is supposed to be new but has had major repair work.0
