Money Moral Dilemma: Should I send back my accidental 'freebie'?

This shows exactly what kind of person you are that you even need to ask this question. Of course you should contact the sender, as this extra pram is obviously not yours, otherwise you are a thief.0

How far we have sunk, that you should even need to ask.0

Simply because you now have two prams doesn't entitle you to keep the spare. It isn't, and never was your property.
The duplication of your order can only have been down to an administrative error which, if the firm you dealt with has adequate controls in place, will pick up its mistake sooner or later. So contact them to let them know what's happened, but make sure it's not you who pays the courier's costs.
If you still have any doubts about what to do, put yourself in the retailer's position. In doing that, you'd like to think that you provide a good and honest service and that your customers have found the goods satisfactory. Having sold them what they wanted, you would expect such customers to display equal honesty if, through a slip-up, they were mistakenly sent an additional product.:cool:0 -
To me it really depends on the company involved.
I'm not going to lie, certain multi nationals have messed up, or couriers have done so on their behalf, and as I had done everything possible to stop delivery of already refunded goods I wasn't going to inconvenience myself by taking time off to be available for them to collect it again. I've said nothing and wouldn't have quibbled if they charged me. Still won't.
Would I do the same to a smaller, local firm. No, I've had the opportunity and pointed it out that I needed to pay for items that were missed.
EDIT: Two things I want to quickly add. The company is morally suspect with regards to its activities. It seeks to minimise it contribution to society while it trades in huge numbers. Second thing, he overall value of the items when this has happened is relatively small. In double figures rathe than three figures and I have spent serious time with their CS and courier CS to prevent delivery. One having the item sent back to the depot only for them to send it out again late evenjng and deliver it anyway to a neighbour. It's always been delivered to a neighbour, I would have refused delivery if made to me directly.0 -
As advised by others, contact the company. Last year we ordered one large vertical blind for a double sliding door. When we received 4, I immediately checked my bank account to ensure I have only been charged for one. We did wonder what we should do, but within minutes rang the company. We were told they had had a computer glitch, that we could keep them all as, they sell made to measure only and that we did not hold the record. Another client had received 11..... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Honesty is always the best policy, no question. Would you be happy if you dropped your wallet then saw someone pick it up and leg it.
50 years ago I found an adjustable spanner lying in the road as I cycled to school. I picked it up and took it to the Police station. That evening the local bobby brought it to my home and said if anyone asked about it he knew where it would be. I still have it!0 -
Of course you should keep it.
Sell it on for a few hundred quid and treat yourself.
Companies can afford to make mistakes. You don't get much for free in life grab it while you can!0 -
This seems less of a moral dilemma and more of a 'do you think I can get away with it even though I know it's wrong' query.0

I really cannot believe that anyone would contemplate keeping the second pram and saying nothing. To do so would be theft.2017 wins: Jan : 50p Quidco, Microwaveable soup mug and can of soup (Tesco). 1.take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.
