  • Brilliant ideas thank you Chanie!

When I was little my mum and dad used to take me all over the UK visiting ruins and historical buildings. They were educational holidays but I loved them which is probably why I love visiting old English towns now. That is a really good idea I'll look into this as I'd like to take the children all over the UK too.

And cinema well they love that! :)

Netflix can be obtained through a FireTVStick (£28.45 at time of posting from Amazon), but your TV must have a HDMI socket at the back and have wi-fi within range.
  • Soooo...

I got a £30 Debenhams gift card for christmas and managed to get a £32 coat in the sale for £15 and a pair of Jasper Conran shoes worth £59 for £17.70!!! Saving approx £56 sorry I can't count!

Also the kids got a lot of clothes for next year so this will save me on my crazy clothes challenge budget for 2017!

Hope everyone is having a brilliant day

  • That sound brilliant, lucky you with the coat! I've an old winter coat, it's a men's heavy duty thing that I have been wearing for years. It's quite big so I can wear layers underneath, and keeps me really warm and dry so I am loathe to part with it. I was walking by a store window the other day and saw my reflection. I was shocked and embarrassed - I've developed the downtrodden hobo look without realising it. :o

So my new purse came :) as did all my new cards, tesco, boots, morrisons more etc.

I got a 100 points voucher with my boots card so I went and popped those on today.

My new shoes that I got in the sale arrived and now I'm not sure about them so I've popped those on eBay along with lots of items from around the house. All seem to be doing well!

I got two small cheques for £8 each from discretionary housing payment so they've been paid into the bank.

I bought myself a new diary and notebooks to get organised with bills etc.

All bills have been paid today will update amounts later.

Got my mum a few birthday presents from feelunique.com in the sales and this counts towards getting a £5 voucher once I've spent £50 so this comes in handy for gifts.

Saved another £10 with park today for next Christmas and that's £30 saved so far.

Last but not least I've been able to give my oldest son £50 for his birthday and booked his first driving lesson :j so so far feeling pretty good and it's not even 2017 yet!

I've managed to get the new year off to a good start!

Sold a lot of household items and old stock on eBay and made £40 so far.

Wombled two tesco receipts that I found and got 54 points on one and 41 points on the other so popped those on my card.

The kids aren't back at school until next week due to a flood at school so I bought an offer on groupon for two kids entry and drink at the local soft play centre for £6.50 so this is their activity for tomorrow. Not much but it's something! Will also be good for the baby as she's never been yet!

My new paint if being delivered for the living room this week so I can make a start on decorating.

Bought a fire on ebay for £69.50 which was a bit of a splurge so will keep spending to a minimum now.

Entered lots of competitions every day, entered my daily mail codes, found roadkill, receipts, did a few surveys and got nectar points, started to buy everyday bits like milk etc from tesco for points rather than the corner shop. Also started to put petrol in at morrisons for points.

The money I am making on ebay will be transferred to my bank account and spent on debts and I'll total this up at the end of January :)

Bought a beautiful flan dish with a rose design on it for 50p from the charity shop so will list this on ebay too x

Forgot to add. I switched from Sky to Virgin Media and managed to get a £100 voucher which can be used at John Lewis and M&S. The monthly total as I have multi room too (a little luxury that I can't live without) is £59.50 a month. £3 less than sky not much but better.

I've decided to use the voucher on new towels as my old ones have seen better days and I've been meaning to buy some but they're just so expensive!
