Diary of a crap mum! :)

:j So...2016 has possibly been the most challenging year of my life. Flipped from active, self employed and bringing in a good wage (was even saving for a nice car!) until I became seriously ill (lucky I'm still here but that's a different story), out of work, eventually on benefits  and plunged into the depths of despair, debt, scrimping, food banks you name it.
It's taken me all year but I've now made a good recovery and I'm ready to get mine and my kids lives back on track for 2017!
My goals are:
- To pay off all debts by the end of next year (Run down to follow!)
- To lower all household bills especially Sky
- To purchase electric heaters as it's costing a fortune heating the house this winter
- To start working again in January
- Boost my income
- Save money on food, clothing, household items etc
- Collect points as much as I can nectar, tesco etc
- Have NSD's as much as possible
- Join extra income threads such as £2017 in 2017, pay all your debts in 2017
And lots more which I will add to.
I also intend to have as many days out and weekends away as I can with the kids as I feel like I've neglected them this year. So I'm waiting for the £9.50 Sun holidays (had an amazing holiday through this a few years ago), find free activity days out, use vouchers and group on to save on days out. Also want to concentrate on meal planning for them and make lovely meals for them while also saving money.
Christmas 2017 I have started to put away money already with Park and have £20 saved already.
Will also be entering the comps :j I did them a few years back and won a lovely holiday for us, toys which came in handy for birthdays and christmas and a few beauty items for myself
which again will save money!
Thanks for reading

Good luck.
Thank you cheeseface
they are 11, 9 (two boys) and I have a 1 year old girl. Thank you for your suggestion! I may make a chart for the year with different activities for them to add
