Yep. I now have several current accounts, of which HSBC is one. I'll only ditch them if they ever fall foul of my T&Cs, which incidentally, I might be amending in the light of the "Happy Holidays" garbage.

I have not received that email myself, or maybe it was the one I deleted the other day. I suppose they are offering a new 'high interest' account....
As a Christian and church goer I only send cards that have a religious theme with suitable message (though had to stick some of those silly snowman stamps on the envelopes). I don't enjoy the commercial portrayal of the season these days and being a pensioner 'holidays' happens every day of the year.

Just had this offensive email from those gits at HSBC:
No mention of Christmas! I suppose this is another attempt to brown-nose up to their American regulators. Since when did we greet people with that obnoxious phrase of "Happy Holidays" in this country?
I'm working on my response, but it will end with HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
Is there some regulator or other to which I can report my offence at this message? I wonder if the police would be interested? They seem to be red hot on matters where people are offended, or are likely to be offended.
I love that Ginger 'all banks are !!!!wits especially those !!!!!!!s at HSBC' Bob actually banks with HSBC.DEBT FREE!

I would suggest writing a letter to Santa Claus to let them know you think HSBC have been naughty. At least then you'll get the response you deserve. Is there some regulator or other to which I can report my offence at this message? I wonder if the police would be interested?
