Okay thats one new mule bank account setup ready to be switched.

    Topcashback also setup.

I have also just done the free Experian credit check, I always knew I had a good score but seems its 999/999 so I am guessing I can actually apply for more than one new account every three months which seems to be the normal rule of thumb.

I have just had to get travel insurance for work for next year so took advantage and signed up for the 2for1 cinema tickets with compare the market

  • I have had a good study of matched betting and opened my betfair account.

I'll give a trial go later to make sure I fully understand how it works.
They say an hour a day and you can get £800-£1000 a month, I would be surprised if this is the case but I'll gently dip my toe in once the new year starts and I'll post my progress.

  • Not really a money saving weekend, spent time with the kids and wrapped some more gifts.

I have done my meal plan for the weeks after the New Year. Its a pretty boring diet but its what is needed to reach my goal.

Kids are excited on the final countdown to the big day. They have decided 7AM is the time they want to wake up (I was more than happy to agree to that!).

Added a couple more cheap but creative ideas to the birthday gift spreadsheet.

I have worked out which weekends I am likely to have the LO's so todays job is to pencil in weekends when i can take them away or do something with them. I like to have things planned out, if I don't then I am not so spontaneous at thinking of something enjoyable to do.

  • I couldn't wait I ended up placing my first matched betting bet, only thing is you have to use the free bet within 4 days of your own bet, so i better log on over xmas or i'll forget and lose it!

Just placed one £5 bet to get £20 free, lets see if it works.

Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.

    Thanks for stopping by MT999

    Thanks for stopping by NG.

Yes I am more determined than ever. In fact in a strange way I am looking forward to being by myself, for the first time I will be able to do what I want when I want and buy the things that mean something to me.

Even daft things like arranging furniture, I only have to please myself.

I have planned out events to do with the kids which include:
    - The deep (Annual pass)
    - Eureka centers (Annual pass)
    - a few local free heritage centers
    - Trips away in the caravan

There were two ways I was going to take this news, either let it eat away at me and become depressed or face it head on and take stock of where I am and where I want to go. There are three main things I am focusing on:

1 - The kids and making the most of the time I spend with them
2 - Getting into the best shape of my life (I am healthy and fit enough already but I want to be better than that
3 - Being totally financially mortgage and debt free.

MSE things I have done today: I added a couple of receipts to receipthog and sent off new bank account details to be completed.
