Court Summon for parking ticket, advice

HI (sorry to comment in this thread but i don't know how else to do it)
we have received court papers and summons for 5 parking fines from 5 years ago - we however have no recollection of receiving any fines at all. We opted for mediation as this is what we were advised.
At the mediation meeting to which we stated we had no recollection of receiving these fines, the parking company solicitor came back to say that we'd had plenty of debt letters and they had the proof as they had the letter and the fact we didn't was not a defense so therefore we have to pay. We are absolutely gobsmacked that we haven't a leg to stand on - the fine is nearly 900 pounds to which we don't have.
Can anyone help - feeling pretty desperate

On the main page of the parking forum there is a blue button marked New Thread. Click that and add your question. Before you do that however, go here.

ok, go back to the main Parking tickets - Fines and Parking forum by clicking on the link at the top of the page (in the middle near the top)

look to your left and find the red NEW THREAD button and click it
(its red for newbies as its the default screen they see)


copy and paste your query above into the new thread

title it as MCOL from (name the ppc and/or solicitors)

submit it

people will then reply into your new bespoke thread, giving YOU advice

and meanwhile , read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread , reading post #2, it is 3 threads down from the top of this forum

You actually BELIEVED the parking company's solicitor's biased version of money-grabbing scumbag despicable extorting lies, telling you that you don't have a leg to stand on?!! Just because you (wrongly) agreed to mediation. Who advised you to do Mediation for a parking case, not the daft CAB? You should never bother with Mediation for these scams.

You really need to read the NEWBIES FAQS and start your own thread showing us what you actually put in your defence (exact words), and the date by which you MUST get your Witness Statement and evidence in...you know, the date a few weeks before the hearing date, as stated on the letter giving the hearing date.
