Mis-Sold Vehicle Warranty.

Hello all,
I think i have been mis-sold my car warranty.
I bought a used approved Ford fiesta a year ago. it is a 2014 plate and i bought it a year old. the Ford garage i bought the car from made me take out their 3 year warranty for the car costing over £600. they said i had to take the warranty to recieve the 0% interest deal i had applied for. i thought it was an ok deal at the time, the salesman said because it was a fairly new car i needed warranty and i agreed so i bought the warranty.
this week i took the car in for my yearly service at the service department at the same dealership. the service advisor said my car was still under warranty until October 2017, i told him that wasn't right as i bought a 3 year warranty and it should be December 2018! the guy then explained that the car comes with a 3 year manufactures warranty that comes with the car!! the service guy was also confused and said that i had probably bought the extended warranty that the 3 years i had bought will probably take over the 3 years manufacturers warranty. we then investigated and it doesn't! so i am currently in now my 2nd year of a 3 year dealership warranty as well as having one year manufacturers warranty left... why on earth would i need 2 warranty's on one car at the same time?
i now feel cheated and sour, i went into a main dealer so i didn't get ripped off but thats exactly what has happened,
is there anything at all i can do? it has been mis-sold as the salesman made me take out the warranty to receive the 0% interest finance. he also said that the car needed warranty and i need to take it out without disclosing the car already had a manufacturers warranty!
any help would be appreciated. thanks!

If it's in writing that it's a 3 year warranty from point of sale then I would put in a formal complaint in writing to the dealership, maybe "blackmail" them as well with complaints on social media like Twitface, usually gets them to wake up
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Also name and shame on here.
I've come across a ford dealership who were a bunch of sharks.
I've also had dealings with a ford dealership, gates, who have always been a pleasure to deal with0 -
it was Bristol Street Motors in Gloucester. we went there as my partner bought a car there and had a great experience. it also had a £50 voucher if you refer a friend which my OH did with me so we applied for that... didn't receive it so applied again and still didn't receive anything so we gave up with that... its only £50 but £600 for a 3 year warranty that i didn't need is just ridiculous0

Add the story of the 50 quid to the letter you write to them....
I've not dealt with Bristol street but looking at their website, they sell loads off different brands of cars.
Guessing here but would imagine the poor service is to do with them being a very large company. Gates who I mentioned are a smallish local company which maybe why the service was much better. An example is that when I had a ford, it started throwing up error lights. I took it round the corner to me to my local ford (large dealership). They were saying that it needed testing, wanted over a hundred quid for that and I was looking at a repair bill of over 500. No thanks, took it to gates, it was the coil pack. They didn't need to test it, swapped it over and charged a fraction of the price quoted by the other garage0 -
Was it a warranty you bought or a service plan?
(BSM are part of the Vertu Motors group ... they have a department that sells service plans to try and tie people in to dealer servicing).0 -

600 for a service plan sounds a lot on a newish car...0 -
Perhaps ... depends on the vehicle, and how well you negotiate.
(The service plans include all normal service parts and labour. I know because someone I know works in that sales group).
I'm just offering an alternative thought ... if it IS actually a warranty that OP bought then the dealership have been very "cute" about it, and (IMHO) the OP has a claim for mis-selling.0 -

Maybe but in my experience they are a fixed price. 200 for a three year Nissan on a new car. Free five years on a mini and the extension for three years, when it starts to get more expensive 2750 -
Mercedes service plans can be north of £2k
Anyway - let's not drag this wildly off-topic. OP can read my post and tell me I'm wrong - I've no problem with that.0 -
