I'm guessing this is heading in to London rather than out.And what if that somebody genuinely messed up what lane they need to be in
It's a little bit complicated to achieve, but they could carry on a few hundred yards to Gypsy Corner and go around the junctions there to turn around and approach the gyratory from the other directionStandard approach if you miss a junction you need to take, carry on to the next one and use it to turn around.

I don't live in London, but am familiar with the area and the class of very important, entitled people that think they are too important to sit in a queue. This isn't a "merge in turn" situation where two lanes go down to one and use of either lane is appropriate, it's a "be in the wrong lane to skip a queue". No justification for it.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
I agree with hoof hearted. I'm seeing this more and more often. Just bad manners on the roads. Wrong lane, trying to push in, weaving in and out of lanes.
I was nearly in an accident on billet roundabout on the north circ a couple of weeks ago. I was in the right lane for the exit I wanted. A car to my right tried to come off at an exit by just moving into the space I was in. It was just a bullying tactic. Luckily I saw him and stopped. I did toot as I thought he had not seen me. He then started getting very aggressive with his gesticulating. It was then that I realised it was a deliberate move.0 -

It's city hell driving, and only going to get worse as the country fills up with more people meaning more traffic at an ever increasing rate.
I don't like the queue pushers any more than the next man, but again, that's only going to get worse as the dilution of those whose nature to queue patiently diminishes quickly.
There is no answer to this other than to get the hell of out hell, or that there london as its sometimes called.
However, this me first attitude, which at one time was more or less the preserve of london has spread, as have london's former population, to other parts of the country.
Too many people too little space.0 -
Going down a narrow country lane the other day, at a sensible speed considering the 30 limit. Followed by a chelsea tractor with female driver gesticulating. After a while I pulled into a drive to let her go. She blasts off into the distance with me following only to find her stuck behind road work. pulled in behind her and put on my best and sweetest smile. Followed her for quite a while after that.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Fully agree, can't stand the idiots who know what turn they need and cut in after skipping the queue - if you don't know the road it's fair enough but you would normally try and get in as soon as you realise, not drive past them all and they try and push at the front. Hate drivers who let them in
A mathematician friend of mine once explained that people "cutting in" actually makes it move quicker and is more efficient. I don't have the balls to do it myself, too worried I would miss the exit.0 -

I suspect your friend is talking about "Merging in-turn" which can make for more efficient use of the road and smoother traffic flow. But that's not what we are talking about here.0 -

Have to say OP I know exactly what you mean. On the way to work each day this happens to me. We are all in a rush, all busy people and no-one likes waiting so why should some people bully their way through. When I say bully I mean literally push and if you don't let me I will smack your front bumper wing etc.
I have now put it down to just bad manors. It used to really get my goat in that for some reason they think that their time is more precious than mine but now????? I just give up. Let them in and think secretly ignorant pig!!!
As previous post said there may be people in the wrong lane hey it happens I have done it. But not every morning ignoring every sign. Think I have had to come to terms with the fact that some people are just rude and if that is how they want to lead their life so be it.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0
