Good Morning,
No 54 checking in with a final OP of £600. This puts us just over our original target, but has meant that the mortgage is at a nice round number as we head into 2018.
Thanks for keeping us all on track!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
#18 reporting in with Dec's payment of £90.91 Total for year is £5369 - exceeding both my original target of 3268 and my 2nd target of 5k
Very much doubt we can make any meaningful payments until March, as tenants are moving out early Jan and we've not got replacements lined up yet (although Jan is quite a good time of year for it to be on the market - unlike Dec!) Decorating/ cleaning/ marketing costs will eat up at least first month's rent from any new tenants, if not most of the second's as well when mtge int is taken into account. (I'm not complaining - very much aware it's a #1stworldissue!)
Happy Christmas to one and all - see you on the 2018 threadx

Number 39 reporting in with my December payment of ... drum roll please .... £41!!! Mostly because, well, Christmas!
I figure that takes me to £4,510 for the year exceeding my target of £3,450 quite nicely. Target set for 2018 at £5,000 so we'll need to dig a little deeper to reach that.
Thank you for running the challenge and a very Merry Christmas to you all

Hi, no 102 reporting an extra £31 for December please. We have achieved target for the year and are now looking forward to the 2018 challenge. Thanks for running the thread Hidden, it's a great motivator.
Well done everyone and here's to a fantastic 2018 with lots of overpayments for all0 -
Number 46 reporting in for the final time this year. No more OPs till January.
Total OP for Dec - £572.70
So, I hit my original target and upped it to £7500. Didn't hit that but did achieve £5849.76.
Not disappointed at all given we are saving for an extension and increased our savings from £32,897.43 to £58,558.47. Its a balancing act.
I've also worked out that if I OP by £2,000 per month (similar if not less to what I am currently putting into savings for the extension), I could be MF in 6 years - now that's something to aim for!
Hope everyone has had a great Christmas, and best wishes for 2018.

Cheeky OP of £39 for #11, which takes me to a nice round £8,500 overpaid in 2017 - ended up £1500 short of my target, but happy with where I got to
Well .... on a bit of an impulse I've just chucked a £1500 OP on the mortgage, so a total of £2139 for December and £10,000 overall for the year. TARGET REACHED!0 -
Finally made another OP. #28 £496.12 for December.
This brings my yearly total to £1,596.12. Only just over half of what I wanted to pay off. Must try harder next year.
