Hello, I just noticed my March update wasn't picked up so I'm showing as 'must try harder'! Here it is again:

#90 reporting a further March OP of £5,500, taking the total for March to £6,118.48.

That's me done for 2017, decided to go ahead and do a lump sum rather than drip feeding each month, have now...
    2021 MFW #130. Target: £300/£2500
  • Hi,

Number 10 reporting what I think will be the last OP of 2017.
£179 resulting in a total of £3955 for the year.
Didn't make target but it was always going to be ambitious as I have been on an extended maternity break for almost 2 years now so living on OH's salary!

Thanks hidden shadow for all your efforts this year, looking forward to trying again in 2018

maybe not quite the last OP, i'm on £44,991 paid off since the start of MFiT-T4 and might just spend the price of a couple of pints to round it up to £45k :)

Cheeky OP of £39 for #11, which takes me to a nice round £8,500 overpaid in 2017 - ended up £1500 short of my target, but happy with where I got to :D

Hi all, £212.42 so far this month :)
Bringing the year to date figure to £2508.28 which means we’ve smashed our overpayment stretch goal :D

We are hoping to throw a little bit more when my YouGov survey payment and prolific survey payments clear.

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s final numbers over the next few weeks!
    Merry Christmas all x

No: 78 with fnal update for year.

    Nov OP £300
    Dec OP £100

    Yearly target of £3500 reached.

Hoping for a bonus from work but it's not guaranteed, if it does happen I will put this towards my first OP of 2018.

Thank you hidden shadow and to everyone who posted through the year who kept me motivated. I have become quite obsessive about OPing! I am just waiting patiently now for annual mortgage statement to see exactly how many months have been knocked off the mortgage term.

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and look forward to seeing sme familiar names on the 2018 thread. Roxie

Hi, number 105 here, reporting in for my final op of 2017, another £215.26 so have overpaid a total of £3583.12 for this year. Thanks again Hiddenshaddow for doing this challenge and taking it on again for 2018.

Well done everyone for the progress made in the 2017 challenge and good luck in the 2018 challenge. Its been great watching everyone's progress again this year, and hears to another great year and to us all getting that bit closer to the goal of getting rid of those mortgage payments.

  • Hi all,
Haven't been on for a while, but have been working hard paying the mortgage down!

No. 108 reporting overpayments for sept-dec
    september £200
    october £200
    november £300
    december £400

    Final total for 2017 £4111.81
Have missed my target of £5000 but it's the most we've ever paid off in a year!

We've had a very expensive december with needing 3 new tyres, the tumble dryer broke and the boiler gave up the ghost so no more will be paid towards the mortgage this year.

Thanks for all the support, and hope to see you all in 2018

Merry Christmas to all, and Happy new year
