Uk pc parking charge notice

Don't agree this time, c-m. At this point, neither the store nor PPC knows about driver/passenger being a BB holder/disabled. Boxer999 admits to forgetting to put BB on display so at this stage, admission of his mistake (to the shop) asking them to help seems sensible and the correct approach.
Now if they turn him down, that's a different matter and time to bring up harassment.
I am sure that Boxer999 and other disabled drivers welcome shops taking steps to protect the disabled parking bays. One can argue abou the steps they take, but not the principle.0 -
I can see where you are coming from but I would never make an admission like that in these cases. I would always tell the store about the Blue Badge but would never recommend people admit to forgetting it.
It will likely be moot anyway because Asda don't instruct UKPC, sounds like a retail park where the PPC was taken on by the site agent.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok I will change the letter so that I don't admit not displaying the badges. I will contact Asda and ask them to contact ukpc to cancel the charge and if they say they can't I will ask for details of the site agent and for them to send the letter on. I will phone Asda and ask for a meeting with the manager or at least try to speak to him to see what he says.0

Should the letter to Asda be in the third person or is that only necessary for the appeal0

Third person or 'we' is fine. Never admit who parked, just say 'we'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok thanks for your help. I will give it a try and let you know how I get on. Hopefully I won't need to go down the appeal route.0

If you do then time it as per the NEWBIES thread, you don't want to leave it. You do not want a NTK after 28 days.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does the count down start from the day the pcn is issued. Sorry if this is stated but I couldn't see it0

Ok I will change the letter so that I don't admit not displaying the badges.
The badge is actually a bit of a McGuffin here. Strictly a Blue Badge does not apply in private car parks - Despite the PPCs trying to claim it does in their somewhat shonky T&Cs.
What does apply is the Equality Act 2010 and that applies to all disabled people requiring an appropriate reasonable adjustment regardless of them having a badge - So once informed, it is their responsibility to see the ticket is cancelled. Although some stores do try to wriggle-out of it more than others.

Hopefully Asda or the site agent will see it that way0
