Uk pc parking charge notice

I received a parking charge notice whilst parked in a retail site when we were shopping in Asda. We were parked in a disabled bay and we forgot to put the wife's disabled badges on display. What is the best way to deal with this. The notice is for paying in a disabled persons bay without displaying a valid disabled persons permit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Start by carefully reading the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum. That outlines the current situation and your range of options to see them-off.

As a disabled person/reasonable adjustment is involved, a strong complaint to Asda would be my first approach.

The important thing is not to reveal who was driving. Not even to ASDA.

As above, complain to the manager (not customer services) but be prepared to send an appeal to the parking company as keeper using the BPA template in blue you will find there.

Please read 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' which is a thread near the top where you clicked 'new thread' instead of reading the top threads first.

No you do not have to appeal within 14 days.

Yes you appeal as keeper on day 26 online.

    Neither.

As per the NEWBIES thread, day 26 as keeper, using the template appeal. There is a reason for the timing & the thread explains all.

  • Ok my course of action will be to write to Asda to complain and attach a copy of the receipt and the blue badge. Presumably I shouldn't mention the blue badge wasn't displayed. I will wait for the letter from uk pc and in the meantime draft a letter in response.

You are not waiting for a letter from UKPC, you are appealing online on day 26 (said that 3 times now and it's already stated in the sticky thread). You do not need to 'draft a letter' either, there will be no 'letter' from you.

Please read the NEWBIES thread, saves us repeating ourselves.

  • Ok, I am new to this so I have drafted a letter to the manager at Asda. I am concerned in case I say something that might prejudice my appeal. The letter reads:
A Parking charge notice was placed on my vehicle on Friday 09 December 2016 whilst it was parked in a disabled bay in the Leyton Mills car park. We were shopping at your store as we have done so frequently for many years, I attach a copy of the till receipt. I also attach a copy of the disabled badges.
When we arrived, the car park was extremely busy and there were shopping trolleys abandoned in the parking spaces. Whilst parking we had to move several shopping trolleys and in the process of doing this we inadvertently forgot to place the badges on the dashboard. We have used the disabled parking space regularly for many years and have always placed the disabled badges on the dashboard, but feel due to the circumstances this oversight is understandable.
We are extremely distressed at receiving the Parking Charge Notice and request you contact UK Parking Control Ltd to withdraw the Parking Charge Notice.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would not make an admission. You should be complaining about harassment of a disabled visitor, end of, and be more assertive about it. Also, you should add at the end, if Asda do not have this contract I require that this complaint is passed urgently to the Managing agents of the site; contact details for which your Store Manager will be well aware.
