Just checked and our first weekend there is EDC weekend so thinking we should get something were reasonably happy with booked soon before we end up having to take out a second mortgage just to stay at Circus Circus!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Prices are for 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) in Palazzo Luxury 1 King suite (before resort fees)
£531 - best price available (via expedia)
£517 - improved price from expedia
£438 - new listing from expedia (no cancellation)
£366 - 3for2 offer from Palazzo (no cancellation), just for signing up
over £160 saved, all over the last 11 days! really happy with that
I looked at 3 for 2 offer at Venetian/Palazzo before I booked the Encore offer they both came out at about the same price, it was the no cancellation that put me off the V/P, well that and the fact I have stayed at Palazzo before but not at Encore0 -

haha, ah yes good ol' EDC! and hopefully not much of that crowd will stay at Palazzo either, so it'll remain relatively calmI looked at 3 for 2 offer at Venetian/Palazzo before I booked the Encore offer they both came out at about the same price, it was the no cancellation that put me off the V/P, well that and the fact I have stayed at Palazzo before but not at Encore
I think we were fairly lucky with our dates for the 3for2 offer... especially for a Fri-Sun stay. Like you, I wouldn't have gone for the non-cancellation option ordinarily, but ever since we booked the Palazzo we've been really excited about staying there... and especially for the rate we got, so happy to lock in on a non-cancellation rate0 -
Cheers for the input guys !
Have done Vegas 5 times now, and each time, its been a super cool trip! Although last year, I came home with 20 cents, compared to the other times with over 1k !
So this year, I would be happy with less gambling, and more sight seeing and other stuff...
My mindset is remembering back over the past 3 years, I've seen lots of kids and teen's with parents in the day/late evening in Vegas, kids by the pool, etc etc...
In a manner of speaking, Vegas to me seems very family friendly, along with the party atmosphere without the kids, etc etc....
If we goto Orlando start of June, the costs are crippling...... but Vegas can be done for more than half the cost!
I figure if we were in orlando, (3 of us), it would be a mix of sunbathing/pool time all day, mixed with shopping, walking, sight seeing, and evenings would be eating out, and driving around looking for things to do, or breaking the bank and going to theme parks......
So put that same thought process to Vegas, we do the same, but have it all on our doorstep, etc and then as my step-daughter is mid 14, she is happy to watch telly in the room come midnight while we go have a flutter on the tables....
I think I got the wife half sold on the idea, but she doesn't know about my flight setup yet !I like "money saving", she don't !
hehe !
, I kinda 1/4 explained how the flights and driving worked!

Booked The Palazzo for three nights. I'm a bit uncomfortable with the non-cancellable terms but I figure if something's caused us to cancel a trip to Vegas, then losing £450 will be the least of my worries.
Including resort fees it's come in at only $65 more than the same three nights in a run of house room at Excalibur - no contest reallyThe only other place on the Strip that was cheaper was the Flamingo (Fab room) and there was only about $15 difference.
Thanks Secretmachines
I'm really excited now, fancied a step up from Excalibur/Monte Carlo this year but didn't dream we'd be having part of our stay at the Palazzo!
The same offer is on at Venetian and the rates were the same for us but we went with Palazzo just based on $ per square ft!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Yay! I'm really excited to stay there for first time!
I'll make sure I do a good trip report in April, you'll have to let me know if there's anything you want to know0 -
Congratulations - not my favourite property but by far my favourite room in Vegas is the Palazzo. They are lovely, the Grand Lux is also a fantastic restaurant!0

I only ever read good things about Grand Lux, didn't realise until recently it is the Cheesecake Factory people. Win win!0 -

We've been in Vegas twice while the EDC has been on, it hasn't been too disruptive, apart from the traffic. Speaking if Circus Circus - we went to have a flutter in there last year (won $100 on a 40 cent bet on Gremlins - thank you to Greta for the kissing bonus full screen :T), and it seemed like most of the cars in the car park had been to the EDC. I have never seen as many cars decorated in flowers, various doodles and 'EDC' signs and what-have-you. I wish I'd taken some photos to show everybody' cos it was brilliant. We didn't see much of the EDC crowd though, they must have all been chillin':rotfl:
