Advice please, height of single oven in new kitchen

We are in the process of having a new kitchen fitted and as I never used my top oven decided to go with a Neff hide and slide door single oven with built in microwave above. As I was babysitting yesterday I've never had a real good chance to take it all in until today. In the tower is a pan drawer at base, then single oven, then microwave then top cupboard. I'm thinking the oven is going to be too low and may look odd. Maybe top cupboard and bottom should be the same size, prob means making the pan drawer into a cupboard but it should lift the oven up by about 4 inches and I would think microwave should be at an okay height. Hopefully still at a stage when changes can be made or should it stay the same. Built in 70/30 fridge freezer to go in next to it.
Advice would be greatly appreciated

We have just had our kitchen refitted and had the same question.
I will take some measurements and pictures of the final result and post them later today.
The ideal height of ovens does partly depend on how tall you are but, with stacked ovens, you do have to compromise somewhat as neither oven will be at an ideal height.0 -

Thanks for replying, I'm slightly under 5ft 4 inches and hubby about 5ft 6 inches, I'm finding it quite stressful, a lot of money to spend and hoping I'm getting it right.0 -
Just had mine fitted and the bottom of the slide and hide is 34.5 inches from the floor (may not be wholly accurate as used my plastic dressmaking tape)!
The line of the oven is in line with base of the worktops. Perfect height for my OH who is 6' and also for me 5'2".0 -

As it is now, mine will be a fraction over 23 inches from floor, even if it moves up a bit it will be 27 inches from floor.0 -
Try 'pretending' to take things in and out of the oven / microwave area and see how it works for your height. I feel you're not tall you need them lower vs higher in proportion. My mum has an inbuilt microwave that's bacially at / above her head height, it's frankly dangerous when you're taking piping hot food out, much better to have the food at a lower level and to lift it up to a surface than be trying to get out food that's too high and hoping you don't pour scalding hot whatever over yourself.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

It looks as if you have the wrong housing. Most of the makes have different housings for the oven combinations. It will be much too low at 27 inches.
Can you exchange the housing?
I'll try to post a picture of mine later - just working out how to do it!!0 -
I would say the microwave is at perfect level, my forehead touches what is going to be the base shelf of top cupboard. Microwave to be honest is only used for reheating or microwave meals if pushed for time. I suppose oven would be lower again, if I'd picked a freestanding one. I just thought it looked at an odd height.0

It's a Howdens kitchen, he has had to muck around with it and even went into Howdens for advice as the matching Neff microwave I've picked is not as tall as the integrated microwave/grill ones, but I only wanted a simple microwave not a combination one. Maybe he could use that housing for the fridge freezer as the other housing is still in wrappers. Don't think there will be a choice of housing though, as has to be that height and width to fit in with wall units0

We have a Neff double oven plus a Neff microwave on top (all built in). As I'm only 5ft 2 inches (and Mr S isn't that much taller!) the driving factor was that the microwave couldn't be above a 'safe to use' height. We still have a small pan drawer on the bottom, so the oven isn't too low down, and there's a small cupboard on top (with a drop-down front) for things I don't use very often. The top of the bottom oven lines up with the top of the worktop, so it doesn't look 'odd'.
I wouldn't put the fridge freezer next to the oven - but that's just me. I'm sure other people will tell you that it's fine.0
