Charge for not displaying permit

You are risking that, but the overall cost is likely to go up by only about £75.
Odds are that they cancel the ticket, or discontinue the claim, once they see it robustly defended, if they even take it as far as court, and most PPCs don't.
Tell your wife to complain via her business. the landowner might not care about her, but will certainly care if the business cancels / doesn't renew it's lease because of the PPC the landowner employs hounding their staff for £100 a time whenever the permit falls off the dashboard...0 -
It is UKCPS.

UKCPS are currently barred from access to the DVLA database, so can *ONLY* issue windscreen tickets! They can't get Keeper data!

Name and address were provided to them on the appeal letter

Oh how I wish I'd come on here before we appealed

So, they have our details. Should we sit tight and see what happens? Presumably the next step is for them to send another letter demanding the £100?0 -
That's a shame. You would never have received anything about it, they could not have got your data.Name and address were provided to them on the appeal letterTo clarify, you are saying that even if an appeal is rejected then you would still refuse to pay the charge?
We all would and we tell all posters the same. Certainly you have no reason to pay their demand and they've misled you into appealing a piece of paper that meant nothing at all and was not backed by active AOS membership nor any right for them to get DVLA data.
And we tell everyone very clearly, NOT to try IAS at all because it hands the parking firm an unfair advantage. Yes sit tight the NEWBIES thread post #3 tells you what is likely to happen when you choose NOT to try IAS. Usually, just some letters to ignore!
You could write one letter to UKCPS telling them that you have now realised they are currently banned by the DVLA from obtaining data and in your view they obtained your details by false pretences. Their signs and the 'PCN' misled you by stating that they were IPC members (in fact UKCPS are suspended) and that they would obtain the registered keeper's data from the DVLA after 28 days (in fact, that was untrue because UKCPS are banned).
Oh, and as you have the rejection letter, try putting your data in at the IAS just to see if it recognises the PCN. If it does not, take a screenshot. Do that now and report back to us, does it recognise that PCN on the IAS system? I have a feeling it might not.
Tell them - in a letter with FREE proof of posting, not recorded and NOT a phone call!! - to stop processing your data, that you rescind the appeal and withdraw any implied consent to use your name and address due to the unfair business practice used by UKCPS currently pretending to still have accreditation and the right to obtain DVLA data when they do not.
Tell them if they continue to pursue you then you will be making a formal complaint to Leeds Trading Standards about UKCPS and also a formal complaint to the Information Commissioner.
Finish by telling them they must treat this letter as a Section 10 Notice under the DPA, that it has been made clear that you do not consent for them to use your data further, due to their own indisputable breach of the CPUTRs 2008.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for the great advice. I will write them a letter detailing the points that you have suggested.
I've gone on the IAS website and it does recognise the PCN issue number and our vehicle reg number.
Where can I access the information that stated that UKCPS are barred from the DVLA database? I'd like a screenshot to prove it.0 -
Here's some starters for you. The response to the FOI query (due on 23/12/16) might be very interesting.Where can I access the information that stated that UKCPS are barred from the DVLA database? I'd like a screenshot to prove it.

I did indeed send the letter, as mentioned above, before Christmas, but have just received another letter demanding payment or else the next step is court.
Any suggestions as to what I should do next? Send another letter reiterating the points made before Christmas?0 -
